October is Bullying Prevention Month
Sweethearts and Heroes
It was an exciting 2 days as we welcomed Sweethearts and Heroes to our district! Our students participated in exciting, interactive assemblies and small group circles on October 9th and 10th.
Sweethearts and Heroes promotes a safe and healthy school community. Their messages about hope, anti-bullying and suicide prevention were powerful! Our students were engaged and excited throughout the visit to our Oak Street campus. Tom and Rick were treated like superheroes and rock stars!
Open House is Tomorrow Night!
We'll serve pizza and cookies throughout the evening and will be raffling off three $50.00 gift cards!!! In addition, the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office will be hosting a K-9 demonstration in the high school gymnasium. While you're here, don't forget to stop by the Cafeteria for a tour!
Halloween is Almost Here!!!
Halloween is coming! Students are permitted to wear school appropriate costumes on Thursday, October 31st. Just a reminder that Halloween masks, gory outfits or makeup and fake weapons are not allowed.
Picture Day is Coming Up!
Picture day is Monday, October 21st. There are ordering packets in the MS office as well as the Guidance office. You can also order on-line at www.Upstate-Images.com.
PBIS Update
Last month, students who demonstrated safe, respectful and responsible behavior and had no office referrals had the opportunity to participate in our first Fun Night of the year! We also raffled off our first PBIS prize of the school year. Congratulations to Destiny McFarren, who won a new 10ft outdoor basketball hoop!
