TMEA All-State Auditions
81 FMHS choir students participated in the first round of the TMEA All-State Auditions (“Phase 1”) at Marcus HS. We are proud to say 47 of them are advancing to the next round of auditions in October. Congratulations to our FM9 Choir students!!

Orchestra Honors
Congrats to Orchestra Student Jin Han who both won the GDYO Concerto competition and will perform Dvorak Concerto with the Orchestra in March and got selected to perform on "From the Top".
From the Top is America’s largest national platform celebrating young classically trained musicians. Through NPR broadcasts and digital content, and the Learning and Media Lab Fellowship, From the Top empowers young musicians to use their music and stories to engage and inspire audiences of all ages.
Get Involved in campus Clubs & Organizations
The BEST way to be part of Jaguar Nation is to get involved. FMHS has many different clubs and organizations that 9th-12th grader students can join. Check out the main clubs list and make plans to attend the 1st meetings of the year. Information can also be found posted in the CLUB HUB located on the bulletin board at the doors to Main Campus.

Reflections Master Class
The LISD Council of PTAs is hosting a Reflections Master Class! This workshop is open to everyone - families and students who are interested in participating but need some guidance on how to begin. At the end of the workshop, Anita, the owner of Art House, will lead a 10-15 minute master class. She'll share creative ideas to inspire students and demonstrate how to create artwork for this year's theme.

Coach Basil gets 100th WIN!!
Coach Basil wins his 100th game in grand fashion (Come from behind TD with 3 seconds left on the clock!). Great game and great start to the season!!
Speech & Debate
Congrats to our Speech and Debate team! Mr. Mears, Mr. Uhler, and their kids are celebrating our school's placement in the National Speech & Debate Association's Top 100 schools, as well as their Club Award based on student participation. They are ranked number 13 out of the top 100 in the nation!

Homework Helpers @ FM9
Catch-up Café: A Lunchtime Opportunity & How It Works:
- STUDENT Responsibility: Students will email their teacher and parents, acknowledging the missing assignment and their plan to complete it.
- Completion: If the assignment isn’t finished during lunch, the student is still responsible for completing it outside of the lunch period.
- Notifications: Students will receive a note listing any missing assignments and inviting them to attend Homework Helpers in the “Catch-up Café.”
PARENT Involvement: Enable Skyward notifications is recommended (alert whenever your student is missing an assignment or has a grade below 70).
LISD Parent Cafe
The Lewisville ISD Parent Café program is a parent-led peer support group that provides a confidential space for parents to discuss, validate and receive support on the challenges of raising children, along with free childcare (ages 5+) and a meal for the family.

Proper pick up and drop off locations for FM9/FMHS (in YELLOW on map):
- West Parking Lot (Senior Lot / Auditorium Entrance, off Peters Colony Rd) – please drop off and pick up in this location.
- South Parking Lot (Football Field / South Field House, off Old Settlers Rd.) – you may pick up and drop off at this location also. (not shown on the map)
Prohibited Areas for Student Pick up or Drop off (in RED on map):
- Bus Loop / Faculty Parking area off Old Settlers Rd.
- Front Office Loop / Faculty and Guest Parking area off of Peters Colony – this is an area for drop off only for students with special physical needs & injuries (crutches / wheelchair / etc...)
- Baseball/Softball/Tennis off Peters Colony Rd. – this is ONLY drop off for athletes who have 1st period athletics in this area.

Here Comes the Bus App
This tool provides LISD students and their families access to real-time location updates of their school bus.
- Location of a student's bus both before and after school;
- Confirmation a student's bus has arrived at the bus stop, at school, or both;
- Push notifications or email messages when the bus is near a student's stop, if a bus has been replaced with a backup, or when Texas Central School Bus has important information to relay.
