📆 2025-26 Academic Calendar Survey
*DATE EXTENDED* The 2025-26 Academic Calendar Survey is available for feedback!
As we plan for the 2025-2026 school year, we value your input in shaping an academic calendar that meets the needs of our students, families, and staff. Pflugerville ISD strives to create a balanced and thoughtful calendar that supports high-quality instruction, considers family schedules, and accommodates important holidays and professional development for our educators.
The proposed calendar options were thoughtfully developed by the District Academic Advisory Council (DAAC), a group of parents, staff, and community members who work collaboratively to ensure the calendar reflects our district's diverse needs. Learn more about how the calendar is created and approved.
The DAAC presents two (2) 25-26 calendars, Draft 1 and Draft 2, for your consideration and feedback. Below are the two drafts and a side-by-side comparison of the two options. After reviewing the calendars, please take a few minutes to complete this survey and ensure your voice is considered.
Th survey deadline has been extended! The survey will remain open until Feb. 10, 2025.

📣 Shout Outs from Parents, Students, and Community Members
Abigail Duren Rowe Lane Elementary - 2nd Grade (via: Celeste J.) We want to shout out to Ms. Duren, because we think she is doing an outstanding job in her first year as an elementary teacher, and we are so happy to have our daughter in her class! She has gone above and beyond creating a warm and inviting classroom environment, and seeing to the needs of all of her students. She was especially creative with keeping her class motivated and happily learning in the weeks before Winter Break, which is no easy task. She is an amazing educator and we truly appreciate all that she does every day for our daughter and her whole class. Ms. Duren, you are doing an amazing job and we encourage you to keep it up! Thank you for everything.
Mr. Caress and Mrs. Rivera at Spring Hill Elementary School (via: Vicky) Both Mr. Caress and Mrs. Rivera are amazing! Their hard work, patience, and dedication have positively impacted my child's growth and learning. It's clear how much effort they put into creating a supportive and engaging environment for their students.
Lisa Betz at Murchison Elementary (via: Aaron H) I want to give a huge shout-out to my son’s kindergarten teacher, Lisa Betz! We struggled with my son’s previous school, and he often came home feeling discouraged. But since joining Mrs. Betz’s class, he has completely transformed—he comes home excited to learn, eager to share what he did in school, and proud of his progress.
Mrs. Betz has a remarkable way of making every child feel capable and valued. She instills a growth mindset, teaching her students that mistakes are part of learning and challenges help them grow. At this age, that lesson is truly life-changing.
It’s clear that she is not just a teacher, but a mentor and encourager. She pours her passion and care into her students, creating a classroom where they feel safe, supported, and inspired every day.
We are beyond grateful for her dedication, and I can’t thank her enough for the impact she has made on our son’s education and confidence. Thank you, Mrs. Betz, for all that you do!
Mrs. Weatherspoon Carpenter Elementary (via: Tie'Rah W) I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for all that you do. Your dedication to keeping us, as parents, informed about what’s happening in the classroom is truly remarkable. It gives us such peace of mind knowing that our children are in the care of someone so committed to their growth and success.
Beyond that, your continuous encouragement for students to push beyond their limits is incredibly inspiring. It’s clear that you believe in each and every one of them, and that belief shines through in the way they rise to meet challenges and strive for excellence.
Thank you for the passion and energy you bring to teaching. You are making a lasting impact, not just academically, but in shaping the confidence and character of your students. We are so grateful to have you as a teacher.
Carlos Perez Jessica Carpenter (via: Glenna L) Mr. Perez is such an asset to Carpenter. He takes time to encourage and connect with students in a meaningful way. When he is serving as the crossing guard, he always has a smile on his face. Today, a student fell off of his bike and Mr. Perez was quick to assist and he even made an adjustment to the bike.
Rebecca Diaz-ancira 2nd grade- Jessica Carpenter Elementary (via: Amanda D.) Thank you, Mrs. Ancira, for being such an amazing educator and for inspiring these young minds to reach their fullest potential! From her creative lessons/ class parties, to the kindness and patience she shows every day. Thanks for all you do for our kiddos <3 It’s clear she’s made a lasting impression on her students and their families, and we’re so grateful for her hard work.
Ms. Rebecca Diaz-Ancira at Carpenter Elementary (2nd) (via: Erica B.) Ms. Ancira pours her heart into her students and classroom. Our student adores her and always talks about what she’s learning and the fun activities she gets to do in Ms. Ancira’s class. We appreciate her very much!
Ms. Strand, Ms. Hansen and Mrs. Speichinger at Pflugerville Middle School (via: Natalie S.) Sixth grade has been somewhat challenging for my son and he has had to make a lot of adjustments. These three teachers have been dedicated to making sure everyone is on the same page as well as communicating when there was a problem so we could address it. They really care about their students and their success. Teaching is not easy, so I thank you ladies for your commitment to our students.
Rose Baldwin Murchison Elementary (via: Katy) I can't say enough great things about Mrs. Baldwin. She's a great communicator with parents, super organized, and always has a special and fun way of getting her class excited about each day and making each student feel important. (vip!) She's created an amazing community within her classroom and my daughter is thriving. Thank you!
Mrs. McBane & Mrs. Reyes at Murchison ElementaryDream Team! (via: Katy) My son started Pre-K so nervous and emotional and it was a struggle to get him into the building each day. It didn't take long for his entire attitude to change and he's now excited to go to school and comes home ready to tell me all he's learned. Mrs. Reyes and Mrs. McBane have such a great attitude (and sense of humor!) with these wild littles. They comfort them when they need and allow them to be themselves. I am beyond grateful that they have made my son's first elementary experience so positive.
