A message from the Principals Office
Hello PRMS families!
As we approach the end of another successful school year, I want to take a moment to celebrate the great learning experiences our students have had. From academic achievements to personal growth, it's been a year filled with remarkable progress and effort.
I'm thrilled to acknowledge the outstanding effort our students put forth during the recent Forward assessments. Your children's dedication to their learning is truly commendable, and I'm proud of each and every one of them for their hard work.
Looking ahead, we have some exciting field trips planned to further enrich our students' educational experiences. However, I need to address an important matter regarding student behavior.
Our staff has been diligently identifying students who have struggled to exhibit productive, responsible, mindful, or safe behaviors. As a result, these students may not be able to participate in the upcoming field trips. We believe that reinforcing positive behavior is essential for maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment for all.
Additionally, I want to address a recent incident regarding a perceived threat at the Middle School. I want to assure you that our staff follows the Wisconsin School Threat Assessment and Management Protocol when we are made aware of a potential threat. In this case, it was determined students were never in any danger, however, rumors were being circulated among students via text messages intensified the situation.
The safety and well-being of our students are our top priorities, and we take any potential threats very seriously. While the investigation is ongoing, please rest assured that we are working diligently to gather accurate information. Communication will be provided to parents as soon as correct and verified information is determined.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we navigate through this situation together. If you have any concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me or our staff. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
No Phone Zone
As a reminder, students are not to have their phones at any time during the school day. Once the bell rings at 7:55, phones should be in their lockers.
Morning Breakfast
PRMS is a no caffeine school. Students have frequently been bringing in energy drinks and/or specialty drinks from local coffee shops. While we don't want to discourage your morning coffee run, we just ask that you remind your student(s) they need to finish their food/drink before going into the field house in the morning. They can enjoy them in the cafeteria, but no food or drink are to be in the field house.
End of Year Chromebook Procedure
With the end of the year fast approaching we want to give a heads-up about Chromebooks over the summer. Current 8th graders will keep their devices and 5th, 6th, and 7th graders will turn their devices in at the end of the year. Please stay tuned for more information to come!
