Middle School Highlights
We are in the final week of third quarter and will begin the fourth quarter HOMESTRETCH when we return from spring break on Monday April 7th. We continue to focus on attendance this month and will have our end of the month reward activity for students with 85% and above positive attendance. We have also done random reward days this month at lunch where any student who was present earned a treat. A big part of success in life is just showing up–thank you for supporting this habit with our students!
Thank you to all parents who came to spring conferences. Our Open House from 5-7:30 pm was a great way to meet teachers and see what is going on at school. A huge thank you to Mr. Perleberg and the Ag Students for cooking dinner, and Mrs. Hamilton and the FCCLA students for the yummy desserts. We hope this becomes a tradition here in Reardan where students are excited to show their parents what they are learning here each day.
Please mark your calendars for Tuesday, March 25th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm when we will host Mobius Science Center’s Dinosaur Night in Smith Gym. Sponsored by RECAP, Reardan PIE, and Reardan Title Program. Light snacks will be served.

Senior Spotlight
Senior Spotlight: Rysen Soliday
Plans After High School:
After graduation, Rysen will be attending the University of Montana Western to study Farm and Ranch Management. His education will focus on both the business and conservation aspects of farming, helping him bring new efficiencies back to his family’s farm. Alongside his studies, Rysen will also continue his passion for football as a Montana Western Bulldog.
Favorite High School Memory:
Rysen’s high school years have been shaped by his love for sports, especially football. He will never forget the lessons learned from his coaches, who instilled values that will carry him through life. One of the most important lessons? "You might get knocked down, but the best part is getting right back up and going after them again and again."
Advice for Younger Students:
"Enjoy what you have while you're here, but remember, Reardan isn't everything you'll ever have. Go do big things, but never forget where you come from."
Teacher or Staff Member Who Made an Impact:
Coach Clouse has been a mentor to Rysen since his second-grade flag football days. Playing under Coach Clouse in high school, Rysen learned not only the game of football but also life lessons about hard work, competition, and pride in representing Reardan. "He always reminded us of what it means to be from Reardan and to wear that name on our chest. It’s more than just a jersey—it’s a representation of the grit, heart, and tradition of everyone who came before us. You can’t take that man’s heart and dedication away from him, and I can testify that he’s given his all for his entire life."
Congratulations, Rysen! Best of luck in Montana—we know you’ll make Reardan proud!

Outdoor School - On March 11th, our adventure to the mountains continued! At Mt. Spokane, students dove into the world of snowshoeing, gaining a truly immersive learning experience. They mastered snowshoeing techniques, discovering the fascinating physics behind how they work – the principles of area and pressure. They also quickly realized just how challenging, yet rewarding, snowshoeing can be! Navigating with maps, they honed their orienteering skills, and explored the science of snow, learning about its formation, various types, and the impact of weather on the mountain environment.
