A Message from Ms. Peterson
Hello MCP3 Families!
DOE Spirit Week was a HUGE success!! Thank you families for showing your school spirit and helping your child to dress in the daily themed attire! MCP3 really came through and shined each day. Our very first Chant Fest was also a hit and we loved having so many families come to cheer the scholars on! I hope everyone got to watch the videos shared on ClassDojo. Shout out to Ms. Blevins for recording each college chant so that we all could watch!
Here are a few important reminders and updates for the next couple of weeks:
MCP3 Fall Fun- November 1st
Scholars will engage in fun activities in their classroom and during Rauh Room time to celebrate fall. Scholars may wear costumes on this day as long as they are not scary costumes. Please no masks and no weapons or other hand held accessories. Scholars may also bring in treats to share with their classmates for an in-class Trick or Treating. Individually wrapped treats only please.
Parent Teacher Conferences- Next Week Thursday & Friday
Be sure to sign up for your child's conference! This is a wonderful time to hear how your child is progressing so far in K3, set goals for your child, and collaborate with your child's teacher. Parent Teacher conferences are mandatory for all scholars so be sure to select a time slot that works best for you ASAP. Directions to sign up are below.
Ages & Stages Questionnaire- ASQ
The first 5 years of your child’s life are very important for your child because this time sets the stage for success in school and later life. During these years, your child will gain many experiences and learn many skills. We want to be able to provide the best start for your child. MCP3 will provide the Ages & Stages Questionnaires, Third Edition (ASQ 3), to help you keep track of your child’s development. A questionnaire will be provided to you around the time your child turns 3 ½ (42 months) and/or 4 years old (48 months). You will be asked to answer questions about some things your child can and cannot do. The questionnaire includes questions about your child’s communication, gross and fine motor, problem solving, and personal-social skills.
If the questionnaire shows that your child is developing without concerns, we will provide some activities designed for use with ASQ-3 to encourage your child’s continuous development and will provide the next questionnaire at the appropriate time. If the questionnaire shows some possible concerns, we will contact you about getting a more involved assessment for your child. Information will only be shared with other agencies with your written consent.
The first round of ASQs were sent home today to scholars who turned/turn 42 months or 48 months between 8/21/24-11/31/24. Please complete and return the ASQ by 11/14/24. We look forward to your participation in our developmental screening process! If you choose not to complete the questionnaire, we ask that you email Ms. Peterson @ allison.peterson@mkeprep.com.
Please reach out to our Office Manager Ms. Perine by emailing cassandra.perine@mkeprep.com or calling our office 414-264-6007 with any questions or concerns related to your payment or enrollment.
With Love and Respect,
Ms. Peterson
