EES Family Survey- Your Input is Needed!
- A clear and shared focus
- High standards and expectations for all students
- Effective school leadership
- Strong communication and opportunities to work together
- What we teach, how we teach, and how learning is aligned with state standards
- Frequent monitoring of learning and teaching
- Focused professional development
- Supportive learning environment
- High levels of family and community involvement
In addition, the survey asks about two other areas associated with high-performing schools, district support for improvement, and respect for diverse cultures and backgrounds.
As a parent or caregiver, you should take one EES Family Survey for each school in which you have a child enrolled. As an employee, if you also have a child in GCPS, you should take the EES Staff Survey in addition to the Family Survey.
The survey will be available for you to complete through Friday, March 7. We hope you will lend your voice to making Gwinnett County Public Schools the best it can be for our students.
Please use this link to access the Family Survey.
Black History Month
Rosebud Has A Podcast!
Rosebud is starting a podcast! So far, we have two different segments.
- The Comet Connection Podcast talks about upcoming events and is a kid-oriented audio version of our Comet Connection newsletters.
- Cooper's Corner features students in Mrs.N.Cooper's 4th grade class explaining some of the topics they are learning about in the classroom.
We are learning how to improve with each episode, and students are loving taking ownership of the recording and editing of each episode. We hope to have more segments and students featured in the future. Listen to this on your way home from work for great school-related conversation starters at home.
Reminder: February SEL Newsletter- Cooperation
This monthβs focus is Cooperation. One way to think about Cooperation is βworking together to reach shared goals.β As a family, talk about how this definition applies to how you work together at home. Check out the SEL Cooperation Newsletter for more information here!

Protect and teach by setting limits. You'd never let your child play with fire or jump off a bridge. Setting limits is one of a parent's most important jobs. Limits also help children develop the self-discipline needed to focus and follow directions in school. When setting a rule or limit, talk to your child about it. Explain why it is important. Ask for your child's cooperation. Together, set consequences for breaking it. And once you've established the limit, enforce it every time. Learn more here!
