Attendance Matters
Parent Pick Up and Drop Off
Parent Pick Up & Drop Off
The school day for Cobb is from 8:20 AM to 3:56 PM. Students have the option to ride the GPISD bus (see bus information below).
Mornings:
Due to supervisory schedules, students who do not ride the bus should arrive at school no earlier than 7:15 AM. Upon arrival, students should report directly to the cafeteria.
Afternoons:
Students should be picked up by 4:00 PM daily. Car rider tag numbers will be provided. Please place them on the dashboard when picking up your child.
Note: Due to our large size, pick-up and drop off can be congested and time consuming. Parents electing to do this must only drop students off in the circle driveway. This is to ensure our students’ safety. Students will not be allowed to walk through the parking lot or to the street without a parent. Consequences will be issued for students dropped off or picked up in the parking lot. Walker Passes will be issued to students who live in the New Forest Subdivision.

Additional Resources
Blue Days- Students will attend periods 1-4.
Red Days- Students will attend periods 5-8.
Visitation Policy- Approved Bags
To ensure student, staff, and visitor safety, along with quick and efficient entry into GPISD campuses and facilities, a Clear Bag Regulation has been instituted for visitors. This will limit the type of bag allowed. All bags brought onto GPISD campuses or facilities by visitors are subject to visual inspection.
Important Reminders
Important Reminders...
- Parents must self-assess their child's health daily. If your child is sick or has a fever, please help us by not sending them to school.
- Breakfast/lunch is FREE to all GPISD students. Please note, no outside food deliveries or eating with students during lunch time will be allowed this year.
- We encourage all students to bring a water bottle with them. Water bottles must be transparent and labeled with their name.
- Student dismissal starts at 3:56 P.M. If your child is a car rider, please remind them to listen for their car tag number.
- If your child rides the bus, click here to determine which bus your child will ride to and from school.
ATTENDANCE MATTERS
Having your children attend school regularly is very important to us. We know that when students miss school, they miss out on important instruction and a chance to build a habit of good attendance. We encourage you to speak with your child about their attendance and the importance of them attending school regularly.
