Calendar Reminder: There is no school for students on Monday, March 17th as our staff will be participating in a Professional Learning Day. Classes for students will resume on Tuesday, March 18th.

*Please Note: The Rainbow Connection event has a new date and location. It will take place on April 2, 2025 in the Century Academy MPR from 9:15am to 10:30am
This workshop will explore how mutual understanding enhances communication, allowing families to navigate challenges and strengthen their bonds. It will provide parents with actionable strategies to improve their relationships with their children, ultimately promoting a nurturing environment that values understanding and respect.
This event is hosted by the CVUSD's BreakThrough Student Assistance Program and The Conejo Schools Foundation, and will be led by presenter Dr. James Jenkins.
Throughout her career, Mrs. O’Weger has been dedicated to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments for all students. She currently serves as the Assistant Principal of Redwood Middle where she plays an integral part in developing curricular and instructional programs. Prior to that, Mrs. O’Weger was the Dean at Redwood where she oversaw Student Attendance and Activities.
Mrs. O’Weger has more than 12 years of educational experience in a variety of roles and settings, through which she has acquired a multitude of unique skill sets to support all students' success.

Current Maple Elementary School Principal, Patty Lewis is retiring at the end of the 2024-2025 school year after nine years of dedicated service. Congratulations, Ms. Lewis!
Congratulations to Jasson Przebieda who was approved at the Wednesday, March 5, 2025 Board of Education meeting as the new Principal of Madroña Academy of the Arts and Sciences effective July 1, 2025.
Mr. Przebieda is an experienced school leader and life-long learner who is dedicated to creating opportunities for all students to learn, reach their fullest potential and make a positive difference in the world. Mr. Przebieda currently serves as the Assistant Principal at Westlake Hills Elementary School, where he has helped to strengthen school partnerships with a multitude of stakeholders in order to directly support student success. Through this role, he has also facilitated the utilization of data, and implemented best practices and instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs and academic goals.

Current Madroña Academy Principal, Gina Mandell is retiring at the end of the 2024-2025 school year, having served as the school’s principal since 2022 and with 20 years of dedicated service to the CVUSD. Congratulations, Mrs. Mandell!
Read Across America Week Comes to the Conejo: Spotlight on Lang Ranch Elementary
Many schools invited community guest readers into classrooms to share favorite books with students. The photos below showcase some of the literary-based activities at Lang Ranch Elementary, where celebrity readers, including Board of Education members, a School Resource Officer, and District staff stopped by to read to classes. Meanwhile, upper grade students had the opportunity to participate in an engaging assembly led by Brandon Mull, New York Times Bestselling Author. Way to grow and share your love of reading, Wranglers!
🎥 Welcome to Class: Engagement, Enjoyment & Fun - Acacia's SEM
All students are gifted in their own way, is at the center of Acacia Magnet School for Enriched Learning's SEM (Schoolwide Enrichment Model). Throughout the year, Acacia hosts three cluster rotations where every Thursday students have the opportunity to select an area of interest to them to study with like-minded peers. This year cluster rotation areas of focus have included cooking, sports, art with nature, stop motion video production, and many more! The school recently hosted their Schoolwide Enrichment Model (SEM) Night, where students and staff had the opportunity to showcase the knowledge and skills they have acquired as part of their enrichment clusters since the start of the school year.
