Hillsdale Students perform Pledge of Allegiance & open 9/9 School Board Meeting
Thank you, Gavin Link and Emilynn Gordon!
Gavin and Emilynn started the September 9th West Ada School District Board Meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and Emilynn even used American Sign language to perform it. We are proud of your courage to stand in front of the crowd to represent our school!
We're excited for the return of our fundraiser, the Heron Fun Run. Our goal this year is to raise $75,000 to help us expand our existing Heron’s Nest playground, and to continue to support Hillsdale students and staff. This fundraiser benefits ALL students at Hillsdale Elementary!
We’re excited for this fundraising experience because it offers 3 important things to our school community:
1️⃣ User-friendly fundraising platform
2️⃣ Character enrichment program
3️⃣ Fitness-focused event that includes ALL of our students
As a family, you will work together asking friends and family to donate on your student’s Donation Page at MyBooster.com. The best part is, you can still support our school just by SHARING about the fundraiser!
Students will also experience an amazing character enrichment program called “Castle Quest”, teaching students about how to be brave and live with character.

Caught You Being A Heron!
Hillsdale staff are looking for students who exhibit HERON traits to give a Caught You Being a Heron ticket to every day. Students then put the ticket in their grade level jar by the main entryway. A student's name will be drawn each week and read over the announcements for prizes from our Treasure Chest.
We want to acknowledge all the great HERON traits we see in our students throughout the day!
Congratulations to our Herons that were caught last week!

It Pays to Go to School
This year we are celebrating students who have perfect attendance throughout the year. Here is how students can earn rewards for being at school:
- Every month, all students who have not missed a day of school will be entered into a drawing. One student from each grade level will win a $10 Stella's Ice Cream gift card. Students start with a clean slate at the beginning of every month, so if they have to miss a day for some reason one month, they are still eligible for the drawing the following month.
At the end of each quarter, there will be a special treat with Officer Bridges for all students who are maintaining perfect attendance.
Students who have perfect attendance at the end of the year will receive a gift basket full of summertime goodies!
Students who are picked up early or arrive late due to a medical appointment will still be considered for perfect attendance. We look forward to celebrating with our winners!
*A big THANKS to our PTO for funding this project!
