Children living in Framingham who are five years old on or before August 31 are eligible to enter Kindergarten in September. Kindergarten Screening is required for ALL students entering kindergarten. Both Massachusetts and Federal laws require screening as a process to understand the development of all children participating in kindergarten programming.

As a reminder, appointments and transportation details will be included in your child's classroom assignment letter in Mid-August.

Kindergarten screening is required for incoming Kindergarten students. Bussing will be provided to any family who does not have have access to transportation to bring their child to their scheduled appointment to ensure this is possible for all students.

*Caregivers must accompany their child on the bus to school and the screening appointment.

If you have already filled out a request form, please do not fill the form out again. You will receive more information on routes in mid-August.

If you need transportation assistance to attend your child's screening appointment and have not done so, please fill out the transportation form below. The deadline to request transportation support is Wednesday, July 3, 2024.
