Greetings!

1. Please see this edition of the newsletter for information regarding our upcoming Halloween parties and parade!

2. It's jacket season! Please make sure that your child's jackets/coats/accessories are labeled with their names as our lost and found is growing!

3. Thank you so much for your support of our United Way campaign and our Student Council! The character pumpkins are amazing! Our Wildcats are so creative!

4. Picture retake day is next Friday, 10/25!

Our Halloween parties and parade is on Thursday, 10/31. Room parents have already organized parties and we are so grateful for your help! Due to safety and security, we have a maximum number of parents in each classroom for our parties. Those parents who have signed up have pre-printed visitor labels ready for the party. Only parents with pre-printed labels will attend the parties in the building. All are welcome to attend our outdoor costume parade! Please see below for important information and details!

• 2:05-3:00 - Classroom parties
• 3:00-3:20 - Willowdale costume parade - outside! Please join us!
• Please be sure to label all costumes and pieces of the costume with your childs' name.
• Please remember, we do not allow weapons of any kind at school (even fake) as part of costume props. These need to stay at home and saved for Halloween night.
• Students may not paint their faces for the Halloween parties and parade.
• Please consider any additional props you are sending with the children; some of the party activities will be difficult with additional props, and we would feel terrible if they left them here and didn't have them for Halloween night!
• Thank you so much for your support!

Willowdale students and staff would like to honor our Veteran's on November 11th, 9:00AM-11:00AM. You can send Veteran photos with a brief description to be included in the slideshow to Terri Hartly at tlhartley@mpsomaha.org

Retake day is Friday, October 25th. If your student was absent on picture day, and you need another picture form, please let the office know to send one home with your child.

The PTO is a great way to meet other parents, find out about PTO sponsored events and volunteer on several event committees. By joining and/or being a volunteer, you are working with other parents and teachers/staff members, to help enrich the educational experience for all students.
