Good evening Spartans,

Welcome back! I hope your fall break was relaxing, Although week 10 is a short one, It's packed with fun and exciting activities. First, it's spirit week! Tuesday is Mix & Match day, Wednesday is Twin day, Thursday is Animal Print Day (dress like an animal) and lastly, Friday is Bleed Blue and White Day. Show your school spirit and dress up.

This is also Homecoming week. Fun activities will take place throughout the week, culminating with our Homecoming assembly and Homecoming game on Friday. Good luck to the Homecoming Court and to the football team as they take on the Mar Vista Mariners. And don't forget, one of the best parts of Homecoming week is the halftime show. The best performing arts students in the county will take the field to put on a show like no other, followed by the coronation of our Homecoming court and firework show. And wait, that's not all!! Our Homecoming dance will take place on Saturday evening. Tickets are on sale now in the ASB!

I look forward to seeing all of you back in school tomorrow, on time, ready to learn and ready to have an amazing Homecoming week.

It has been brought to the attention of our Administration that students are increasingly using their cell phones in class without the teacher's permission. This is a reminder that cell phone use is not allowed during class unless the teacher has given permission to do so. If students are not following class rules in regards to cell phone use, the cell phone can be confiscated and kept in the main office. On the first offense, the student may pick it up, after multiple offenses, parent/guardian must pick it up themselves.

Spartan Students we invite you to join Chula Vista High School's After School Programs! All programs are available for FREE! You can also stop by and have some fun at the Vault located in the Youth Center. The Vault has pool, air hockey, foosball, PS4, Switch, arcade games and more!!!!! **EVERYTHING IS FREE!!!!!!!**

Our morning hours will be from 7:15-8:15 AM (students will need to enter through Youth Center entrance at 465 L Street).

Our afternoon hours will be from 3:39-5:30 PM every day. We are also open during 7th/8th period for those students who are unscheduled.
