Thank you to everyone who voted today or earlier and for all of the support we’ve felt from the community for our work and efforts. It was awesome to see the many middle and high school students walk out of school at the end of the day last Thursday. They showed great leadership, citizenship and collaboration. The student leaders were very thoughtful in their efforts to raise awareness with factual information and a positive tone. For those of you who witnessed or even participated in the event (and others leading up to the big event) I’m sure you saw and felt the amazing school spirit on display. If there is any silver lining from this unfortunate budget situation it’s that our students demonstrated they can rally, together, with a unified and strong voice.

Students making a contribution to Habitat for Humanity

On Friday, May 17th PA NHS students planned a fun filled day for the student body. Following morning classes, students divided up into their selected service projects within the community. Projects were followed by a BBQ lunch out back and topped off with the Ben & Jerry's truck providing cool refreshments on a warm and sunny day. The afternoon was concluded with a series of yard games, the dunk tank and a relay race between the classes. Fun was had by all.

On Saturday, May 18th PA students spent a night under the light for Prom 2024 at Zenbarn in Waterbury. The evening started with the PA tradition of Grand March providing some of the most exciting and memorable events in a high school students experience. it was a night of glitz and glam, dancing, and celebrating with friends.

The yearbook committee has completed the yearbook. A yearbook costs $58 and they are selling fast. Payment plans are available - just order one with Michele with at least a down payment to make sure you have one in June as extras are not ordered. Questions please call the office, 888-4600.

We’ve received approval from the DEC to proceed with the inventory portion of the PCBs in Schools project at Peoples Academy. This work will consist of an inspection in each room in the school and logging the building materials. Testing is scheduled for May 29-31.

Varsity Baseball V Baseball heads into a 2 games week. Both games versus Paine Mountain on the road and at home. Stop by their HOME GAME on Thursday 5/23 for the PINK GAME~ On Thursday May 23rd, PA V Baseball will host Paine Mountain for their Strike Out Cancer Game to raise money for Lamoille Valley Cancer Network. Come out & support!*

Student-Athletes are reminded to check in with their teachers to see what they will be missing due to early sports dismissals. Student-Athletes are responsible for turning assignments in on time.
