A NOTE FROM MS. SICKLER
The past two weeks, all Harvest students received Acadience testing that allowed us to benchmark their reading and math skills for the beginning of the year. You should receive these reports by the end of this week through SchoolMessenger. If you have any questions after receiving the benchmark scores, please feel free to reach out to our MTSS coordinate, Katie Spencer, (spencerk1@salineschools.org) or your classroom teacher.
Our mission in Saline Area Schools is to provide an outstanding education for all children. Since students are not βone size fits allβ learners, we implement a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) to match the amount and type of instruction to studentsβ reading needs. Below are some of the components of this process, also referred to as βResponse to Intervention.β

We are so excited for our Fall Family event at Coleman's Farm on Tuesday, October 1st. Make sure to get your ticket HERE. There are limited tickets to this event, so purchase your ticket now. If you need financial support, please reach out to Mrs. Pickett or Ms. Sickler. We also need some volunteers for this event to make this a super event for all our Harvest Hornets. DID YOU KNOW?
DID YOU KNOW that our entire district shares in ONE homecoming? This year Homecoming Week is from September 30th through October 4th. Every day throughout the week we will have one spirit day!
- Monday - Pajama day (Favorite PJs)
- Tuesday - Teen Beach Movie (Tropical/Beach fun!)
- Wednesday - Western (Bandanas, boots, hats -oh my!)
- Thursday - Jersey Day (Support your favorite team!)
- Friday - Blue and Gold (Go Hornets!)
Additionally, The Saline High School Homecoming Parade is Friday, October 4th at 5pm down Campus Parkway. All schools, clubs, student groups, and community groups are invited to participate in the parade! Floats, walking with a banner, wearing group t-shirts ... be creative! We would love to have you join us!!! If interested in participating in the parade, please fill out the SHS Homecoming Parade Sign Up by Friday, September 27th. You will then be sent additional information about line up instructions.
If interested in attending, the parade starts at 5pm and it is a fun-filled community event!
