๐ Food Pantry Food Fight Alert! ๐
Saukville Elementary thinks theyโve got this one in the bag, but they donโt know who theyโre up against! As reigning champions, itโs time to rally together, pack those donations, and keep the crown where it belongs.
To make it even easier, our dancing Christmas Tree and Gingerbread Man will be outside during drop-off or pick-up to grab your donations right from your car! Plus, there are bins by the bus doors for students entering school that way. No excusesโletโs fill those bins to the brim!
What to Donate?
To make the biggest impact and help us win by weight, consider these food pantry favorites:
- Canned goods: Think soups, stews, beans, and vegetablesโheavy and nutritious!
- Bags of rice or beans: A pantry staple and great for adding pounds.
- Peanut butter or nut butters: A dense, protein-packed item thatโs always needed.
- Boxes of pasta and jars of sauce: A winning combo for both weight and utility.
- Cereal boxes, pancake mix, and syrup: Heavier items that families will love.
- Cooking oils (plastic bottles): A high-demand item and surprisingly hefty.
Non-Food Essentials:
Many families rely on food pantries for toiletries and cleaning products too. Consider adding these to your donation:
- Cleaning products: Laundry detergent, dish soap, multi-surface cleaners, and sponges.
- Toiletries: Toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, deodorant, and feminine hygiene products.
- Paper goods: Paper towels, toilet paper, and tissues.
Every item you bring helps our community and pushes us closer to victory. Letโs show Saukville & Dunwiddie what champions are made ofโgenerosity, teamwork, and a lot of heart! ๐ช๐๐

๐ LES Dress Up for the Holidays Week ๐
Get ready to spread some holiday cheer with our LES Holiday Dress-Up Week! Each day, weโll have a fun and festive theme to get everyone in the spirit of the season. Whether youโre showing off your favorite holiday sweater, dressing like a candy cane, or rocking pajamas for a cozy day, thereโs something for everyone to enjoy.
Join the fun, show your creativity, and letโs make this week full of joy and holiday magic! We canโt wait to see all the festive outfits! ๐ โจ
Congratulations to our LES Artists
Our Art teacher, Mr. Nygaard, has been busy at the WJ Niederkorn Library, showcasing many beautiful pieces created by our talented Lincoln Lions. Be sure to stop by and admire all of their hard work!

Weather Watch: Dress Your Kids for Success!
With snow in the forecast, warm layers, including a winter coat, gloves, hat, snow boots, snowpants, and extra socks are a great idea for outdoor play. Layering will keep them comfortable if temperatures change throughout the day, and a change of clothes tucked in their backpack can help with any spills, puddles, or wet-snow adventures. Letโs make sure our kids are ready for a fun and comfortable day of learning, no matter what the weather brings!
Lunchroom Supervisors Needed
We are currently seeking additional personnel to assist with operations in our lunchroom. If working with children in a fast-paced and fun environment is something of interest to you, please check out this job posting on WECAN: LES Lunchroom Supervisor Position on WECAN
We also gladly accept volunteers for those who are able to offer less of a time commitment. If interested in volunteering, please contact Barry Tremelling, our lunch host, at barry.tremelling@pwssd.k12.wi.us.
