Literacy Proficiency

The Blueprint in Action focus for the months of January, February, and March is Literacy Proficiency. During these months we will be spotlighting how our schools are empowering our students through literacy. March is Youth Art Month

As GCPS prepares to recognize Youth Art Month, please note these special events for your calendar:


  • Join School of the Arts @ Central Gwinnett for its third annual Art Festival on March 15! Students and vendors will show off and sell their artwork to the public!
  • Gwinnett’s best young artists will be in the spotlight through March 25 during Gwinnett County Public Schools’ Tapestry event.

Berkmar High School student selected to participate in the Disney Dreamers Academy

Kylan Robinson of Berkmar HS has won an invitation and prize package to attend the Disney Dreamers Academy as a winner of the 2025 Disney Dreamers Academy Essay Contest.

GCPS educators and students recognized by GMEA

Students from 14 schools were recognized at the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) Annual Conference, and Amy Clement, Orchestra Director at North Gwinnett MS, was named the District 13 Music Educator of the Year.

GCPS athletic teams honored for sportsmanship

Central Gwinnett HS, Duluth HS, and Parkview HS have been named recipients of the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Cooperative Spirit Sportsmanship Award, an honor that highlights their dedication to respect, fairness, honesty, and responsibility in competitive events.
