Administrators' Message
Mrs. Zenovia Lazaruik, Principal (Grades 10-12)
Mrs. Jennifer Erick, Assistant Principal (Grades 5-6)
Mrs. Karen Gartner, Assistant Principal (Grades 7-9)
September flew by quickly, we focused on reconnecting with students and establishing routines in the classroom and school. Now that October is here, it's time to slow down and express gratitude. We would like to take this opportunity to show our appreciation for our staff, who not only perform their jobs throughout the day but also volunteer their time to coach our school teams. They dedicate their time to nurturing the passion, skill, team spirit, and teamwork of our student athletes as part of the Athletics program at Tofield School. Their volunteer work often takes them away from their partners and families, and they sometimes arrive home late in the evening. Without our staff's dedication to our students, we wouldn't have our sports teams. Let's make it a point this school year to show our gratitude to our coaches.
Our athletic director, Mr. Flasha, has developed a spectator code of conduct to ensure that everyone enjoys our sporting events.
Tofield School is committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for all spectators, at all our facilities. Tofield School wants all spectators attending our events to enjoy the experience in a responsible fashion.
When attending an event, spectators are required to refrain from the following behaviours:
Behaviour that is unruly, disruptive or illegal in nature.
Throwing objects onto the area of play.
Unauthorized persons accessing the area of play. Intoxication or other signs of impairment that results in irresponsible behaviour.
Foul and/or abusive language and/or obscene gestures.
Verbal or physical intimidation of opposing team fans, officials, opponents or other persons. Intentionally sitting or standing in areas which obstruct the passage and/or view of other spectators.
Use of cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vaping, or any other form of tobacco product or device.
Failing to follow instructions of the Tofield School staff.
Event spectators are responsible for their conduct as well as the conduct of their guests.
Tofield School staff will intervene to support an environment where event spectators, their guests and other fans can enjoy the event free from the above behaviour. Event spectators and guests who violate these provisions will be asked to leave.
Attendance at this event allows you to enjoy an exhibition of athletic skills in an educational setting. Please be respectful and encouraging to all athletes, officials, coaches and fellow spectators.
Please remember:
These are kids,
This is a game,
Coaches are volunteers,
Officials are human,
and Everyone deserves respect.

Grade 7 & 8 Girls Developmental Volleyball Teams
This year over 30 girls tried out for our Junior High girls volleyball team allowing us to form two developmental teams in addition to our league team! We have formed a Grade 7 Developmental Team and a Grade 8 Developmental team both of which are being coached by Mr. Madsen (Principal at C.W. Sears School).
The teams will be participating in games and tournaments throughout the month of October and the beginning of November with other developmental teams in our area including exhibition matches against Ryley and St. Mary's (Vegreville).
Through our weekly games and practices, our grade 7 and 8 players are learning skills and the basics of game play. It has been a great start to the season and all of the girls are learning and improving!
