Hillside News Brief
September 25, 2020
Parents and Guardians, we need you!
Please continue to support your student, whether at-home or in-school, by emphasizing the importance of attendance (whether virtual or in-person) and attention to schoolwork. Here at Hillside, we are teaching students, addressing gaps in learning, and doing our very best to hold our students together during this challenging time.
If you are the parent or guardian of an Extended Campus learner, please make sure you are connected to the classroom Learning Platform (SeeSaw or Google Classroom) and checking in on those assignments. It is difficult to hold Extended Campus learners accountable from afar. We are reliant on you to help them to log on, complete work, and ask the teacher for help, if necessary. Teachers do have small group time with Extended Campus learners, so it is important for students to be attending those learning sessions, as well. Students attending school via WebEx are still responsible for their learning, and assessments do count!
Lastly, thank you for all you do to support your student(s). None of this has been easy, and we are nowhere near the finish line, unfortunately. We must continue doing everything we can to help our students be as successful as possible!
Mrs. Bailey, Principal of Hillside
