It's Fair Week! Best of Luck to all of our students and families who are showing animals and projects at the Fair. Don't forget that we do not have school on Monday so you can enjoy the Fair exhibits during the day. We love to post your pictures so make sure to send us photos so we can share them with everyone who was not able to visit the Fair this year. This week we had the pleasure of working with Jenny Young from "She Did It" Video. Our students did a great job promoting our school and Jenny's videos are always fun to watch and they really capture the essence of St. Mary's.

We are looking for someone to photograph our students during a school day. If you are interested in taking photographs for us, please let me know.

The Play "St. Rosalia" was performed at the Wednesday Morning Mass this week on her feast day. Rosalia Bowling wrote the original play and it was performed by the members of the St. Mary School Drama Club. St. Rosalia lived as a hermit in a cave and was known for curing the plague in Palermo, Italy. The entire cast did an excellent job presenting the life and miracles of St. Rosalia.

The fourth grade class got to hear about the glaciation of Ohio's Appalachian plateau with soil scientist Margaret Sams. Ms. Sams explained what it is like being a soil scientist. She also talked about what it is like being a business owner and how to make a successful career as a scientist. She said "communication is key". Learning about Science is important but also learning to write and speak about your findings are just as important."
