FJVD Weekly Info
We Live the Word!
From the Principal's Desk
Dear Father Doyle Families,
We're so excited for our Annual Car Show and Vendor Fair tomorrow! It's looking like we will have great weather, and I would encourage all of our families to stop by to visit our vendors, see our cars, and enjoy some music, food, and fun! A tremendous thank you to our volunteers who have made this event possible through their hard work and dedication over the past weeks and months. See the flyer below for details!
We are also thrilled to announce that theater is returning to Father Doyle School! Mrs. Burns will once again be directing our students in a production of "All Together Now!" - a global performance event celebrating local theater. The show is open to all students in grades 4-8 and is FREE to join. You can find more information in the flyer here. If your student is interested in participating, please complete the Google Form here.
Lastly, I hope you will join me in praying this brief prayer in remembrance of lives lost on September 11, 2001 as we commemorate the 20th anniversary this weekend:
God of peace, bring your peace to our violent world:
peace in the hearts of all men and women
and peace among the nations of the earth.
God of understanding,
overwhelmed by the magnitude of this tragedy,
we seek your light and guidance.
Comfort and console us,
strengthen us in hope,
and give us the wisdom and courage
to work tirelessly for a world
where true peace and love reign
among nations and in the hearts of all.
-Pope Benedict XVI, Prayer at Ground Zero, April 2008

Preparing for the 21-22 Basketball Season
We are once again planning to offer CAL basketball for the upcoming winter season. Do you have a student in grades 3-8 who may be interested in playin basketball? Would you or someone you know be interested in coaching basketball? Please complete the interest survey here. Additional information will be available soon!
Parking Lot Procedures
Please note that, during morning drop-off, the spots in the front of the gym are for drop-off only. If you would prefer to exit your vehicle to assist your children during drop-off, please use a parking space in the adjacent parking lot. Cars parked in these drop-off only spots delay traffic on the entry road and prevent busses from entering the bus lane. Thank you for your understanding!
Hot Lunch Program Begins Monday 9/13
A reminder that our Hot Lunch program begins this Monday, September 13th. These lunches were pre-ordered by families earlier in the month. Due to catering service requirements, we are not able to offer hot lunches on demand.

Aluminum Can Tab Collection
What: Aluminum can tabs are being collected
Why: To support the Ronald McDonald House in Providence
How can you help? Save can tabs and send them in to Mr. Godin’s room.
Bottle Cap Drive
We’re excited to share that our school is part of the Coca-Cola Give program. This provides new funding opportunities to help improve learning environments for students. The best part? Donations don’t come out of your own pocket. When you make Coca-Cola purchases, you simply send in bottle caps or product codes from boxes of beverages and our school receives a donation.
All caps and codes should be sent to Mr. Godin. Codes will be entered on one account to gain larger and quicker donations.
Thank you!
