Bulldog Bulletin 01.15.25
From Our Principal
I want to send a HUGE shout-out and thank you to our PTA Super Green Team and all of the volunteers who cleaned up the front of our school recently. They even power washed the paver stones and front walkway entrance, and it looks so beautiful outside! ๐คฉ Many of our students commented on how nice everything was, and it really warmed my heart to see how happy they looked as they arrived at school. Thank you for your time and dedication to this school community.
Mochi Tasting In Classrooms ๐ก
As a cultural activity some of our students were given the opportunity to eat mochi in class. Mochi is a very well-loved treat in Japan and is also eaten during special celebrations such as New Years.
Thank you so much to all of our volunteers who helped make this possible! I am constantly amazed by how supportive our community is. It is such a gift to have families like you who are willing to help enrich the educational experiences of our students. Arigato! ๐

PTA Board: Come Take a Look at our Open Flexible Leadership Positions!
Hello! Our next PTA board meeting is this Thursday, January 16th at 7pm. As we mentioned in last weekโs Bulldog Bulletin, we are in the middle of a slight board restructure to make board participation more feasible for folks with diverse capacity to contribute! If you have ever been board-curious about contributing to our school community through the PTA, this is a great opportunity to participate in a board meeting, and see if any positions are a potential fit for your interests, abilities, and capacity. Email the PTA Secretary, Andrea Hunt (richmondptasecretary@gmail.com) for information on the upcoming Zoom Board Meeting on Thursday, January 16th, from 7pm - 8:30. See you there!
Super Green Team
Thank you to all of the hard working volunteers who showed up to help out at Saturday's Breakfast in the Garden event. We accomplished so much and the front of the school looks beautiful and ready for the prospective families open house in February. Good energy and good vibes all around - we appreciate you spending part of your weekend with us!
The focus for the next few months is rebuilding the fence of the learning garden. Stay tuned in the bulletins, on Konstella and the Richmond JDLI facebook page for more information as it becomes available - we will need a LOT of volunteers to get this done efficiently. Thank you!
