Here is the episode of our CMS Student News for this past week!

Here is a reminder of the drop off and pick up procedures for CMS/CHS. Please remember that there are only two lanes (not three) and pick up vehicles should not be parked in a space. Pickup vehicles should be in one of the 2 lines. Do not exit the line until you reach the front. Deputy Faith is going to have a greater presence in the back to help with traffic flow and we will be utilizing the chains that are up in the morning in the afternoon as well.

Look who was caught being KIND! Hollie-Jay helped a new student get logged into Canvas when her teacher was busy. Emily stepped in to help a student who needed some extra help and support with a class assignment. It's small acts like these that make our school a great place!

PTO was presented with a new fundraiser opportunity! We need people to take tickets at some of the home sporting events! Listed below are sign-ups for Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball and Wrestling (Co-ed 6 & 7 & 8 ). Please feel free to browse and sign-up! This is an easy way to help not only the PTO, but the students, teachers and staff!!

With the start of the Spring Semester, IN state standardized testing will be here before we know it! The mandated dates for ILEARN testing this year will be from April 17th - May 12th. Students will not be testing during that entire time. That is the window the state provides for all schools to complete testing for all students. We will likely begin our local testing the week of April 24th and will attempt to complete testing by the end of the following week on May 5th. These dates are provided for your family planning purposes. These tests are what the state uses to determine how well our students are mastering the IN state standards on those subjects that are tested. When students miss school during this window, they have to make up the assessments, which typically result in lower results.

To deposit money into your child's lunch account electronically visit myschoolbucks.com to create an online account. Students can also bring in cash to lunch, but sometimes that money gets stuck in pockets instead of deposited with the cafeteria staff. Students may bring a lunch from home on any day they choose.

Has your student participated in something outside of school where they have been honored/awarded? We want to recognize those students who are engaged in service opportunities/extra curricular organizations outside of school and receive some mark of distinction.
