We are off to a great start of the 2nd Quarter. We will be sending home paper copies of the report cards this week, but they can also be viewed in your Parent Portal. Please be sure that you have access to your Parent Portal. The Parent Portal will help you stay engaged in your child's education. Coming up in November are our Parent/Teacher Conferences. We are looking forward to meeting with you on Monday, November 11th or Wednesday, November 13th from 4:00pm - 7:30pm. Conferences are held in person and by phone if preferred. Your child's teacher has sent home sign up sheets or an electronic sign up and will return a confirmation when the schedule is completed. We are not able to accommodate unscheduled visits due to the limited timeframe. If you are in need of a different day please reach out to let them know or indicate that on your form.

STUDENT ARRIVAL:

For safety reasons, students ARE NOT PERMITTED to arrive at school prior to 8:30 a.m. There is NO supervision on the playground. Students should not play on the equipment unsupervised. For your child’s protection, please do not allow them to come to school before 8:30am.

STUDENT DISMISSAL:

For the safety of our students, students will not be dismissed between 3:00-3:30pm. If you must pick up your child early, please pick them up prior to 3:00p.m.

CHANGE IN TRANSPORTATION:

A note MUST be sent to the school when you are changing how your child will be going home.

PICKING UP A STUDENT:

YOU MUST HAVE YOUR ID to show when picking up any student. Verification will be cross checked with information in Infinite Campus. Please make sure that your Parent Portal is up to date.

Recently, Ohio state legislators passed Senate Bill 29, which focuses on student data privacy. This new law, effective tomorrow, requires Ohio school districts to implement specific actions and protections regarding student data.

One significant impact for LSA and other CCS Schools is that our ClassDojo system will be temporarily paused. This pause will allow us to review our data-sharing agreement with legal counsel to ensure compliance with the law. During this time, staff will not be able to use the Class Dojo communication system. Please do not report your child’s absence on ClassDojo.
