Stonegate Elementary News
Friday, July 31, 2020
Dear Stonegate Families,
Welcome to the new school year! We are eagerly anticipating the arrival of students through our doors after nearly 5 months of hallways that have been far too quiet. While the year ahead may look different in many ways, know that our commitment to creating a safe and supportive learning environment remains unchanged. Our priorities will be getting to know your child in all aspects of who they are and building strong relationships that will serve as the foundation upon which we can foster their growth, no matter what the year throws at us.
This newsletter contains valuable information for all families. We hope you will find it to be helpful as you prepare for your child(ren) to return back on Monday, August 10th.
Next week, there will be additional newsletters sent out regarding car rider routes, traffic flow patterns, daily student covid-19 screener, etc . . .
With much respect,
Mrs. Connie Largent, Principal
Mrs. Martha Farley, Assistant Principal

As the 2020-2021 school year rapidly approaches, we are very excited to offer a revised "Meet the Teacher" event for those families who have chosen in-person instruction. As always, our “Meet the Teacher” events are an opportunity for students to come to their campus, locate their classroom, drop-off any school supplies, and briefly meet his or her teacher. In order to ensure the best possible adherence to disease spread mitigation practices, we have added additional protocols to this year's event.
Please complete the Self-Screening tool for you and your child(ren) prior to arrival. Based on the results of the Self-Screening tool, determine whether or not to attend.

Specific 30-minute timeslots have been assigned to each family based on student's last name. In order to most successfully incorporate social distancing throughout the event, we are requesting that our families come during their assigned time. Please see the section below for the specific time assigned to your family.
Please come with masks for your family, as they will be required. As stated in our Eagle Start Guide, masks will be required on all of our campuses.
Hand Sanitizing Stations Available/Frequent Hand washing is encouraged
Please ensure your student remains with you at all times, and please abstain from visiting previous years' teachers. We know that this event is historically a time for students to reconnect with last year's teacher, as well as meet this year's teacher. However, in order to minimize travel throughout the building and to mitigate the congregating of people, we are kindly requesting that our families forgo this typical practice.
Eagle Start Guide
- The Eagle Start Guide is located on the ZCS website at www.zcs.k12.in.us. The landing page link will update as plan changes are made. Changes related to this message will be reflected in the online guide by the end of this week. Changes will be captured separately on a tab called Plan Updates so you can easily see what has changed. We have also added an FAQ tab. Questions and answers will be updated as new questions arise.
