Please plan to pick up your child's medication on or before May 25. All medication not picked up will be disposed on May 26. In preparation for next school year, the forms needed for the 2023-24 school year are below. Per district policy, all medication forms expire at the end of every school year. Please check your email later in the summer for details regarding turning in medication and paperwork prior to the first day of school.

The label shall state your student’s name, medication, dosage, number and/or times of dosage per day and the name of the prescribing physician.
Medications (prescription or over-the-counter) will be accepted ONLY with the proper forms signed by both the physician and the parent/guardian.
Please make sure that medications brought to school are not expired and preferably have an expiration date that will last through the school year.
Any questions regarding medication may be directed to Health Room Assistant, Lindsey Hiers or School Nurse Consultant, Jenne Ott, RN. Enjoy the final weeks of school!

Attention 8th grade parents-Save the Date
You are invited to attend our annual 8th grade color run on Thursday May 25, 2023 between 12:15 and 1:15 p.m. Please plan on arriving no later than 12:15 and line up along the walking path from Cimarron to Legend. Students will start running/walking the path down to Legend at 12:30. Please have your 8th grade student wear a white t-shirt that can be ruined with color powder on this day.
During the color run, there will be colored powder provided along the path for any parents who would like to throw powder on students as they run/walk down the path to Legend. Parents may then walk down to the Legend football field and sit in the bleachers to observe some festivities and celebrations which will last until approximately 1:15. Students and their families will then walk back up the path to Cimarron and will be dismissed at 1:30.
Parents may park in the bus loop or the west parking lot. If you park in the bus loop, please remove your car by 2:00 so buses can prepare for dismissal. Once again, 8th grade students will be dismissed at 1:30 so you can pick up your student and take them home at that time. Students who ride the bus home will be able to wait at Cimarron until 2:45.
Finally, we are in need of some gift card donations to help this day happen and celebrate our students so if you are willing/able, please bring in gift cards to Starbucks, Fika, Target, Chipotle, etc. to the Cimarron main office.
Thanks for supporting and celebrating our 8th graders with us on this special day!

DCSD Parent University: Phases of Childhood Brain Development
Join Dr. Matthew Hadeed, of Sky Ridge Medical Center, and Dr. Becca Hadeed to discuss how a child's brain changes throughout their lifetime. The age between 13 and 18 years is the adolescence or teenage stage when the growth of a child reaches its peak, as physiological, cognitive, and psychological development occur. These changes will take place differently for each tween or teenager because each child goes through the adolescence stage at his/her own pace.
This award is designed to give middle school students the opportunity to express what Parker means to them through a visual art submission (painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, video, etc.). Five winners will be selected to receive a $100 gift card. Additionally, their submission will be displayed in one of the Town’s facilities. More information can be found here.
Applications are open through May 30, 2023.
