District 103
I am thrilled to announce that Dr. Stephanie Daly has been selected as the next principal of Laura B. Sprague School, beginning July 1, 2025.
Dr. Daly will assume the role of principal following the departure of Mrs. Ann Hofmeier, who has served as Sprague’s principal for the past eight years. Mrs. Hofmeier is transitioning to a new role as Director of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition at the Exceptional Learners' Collaborative, a special education cooperative serving districts in Lake County. We are grateful for Mrs. Hofmeier’s dedicated leadership at Sprague and wish her continued success in this exciting new chapter.
Dr. Daly brings over 23 years of experience in education, including 13 years in administrative leadership at both the school and district levels. She currently serves as the Executive Director for Student Services in Elmwood Park District 401 and previously held roles as an elementary principal and Assistant Director for Special Education in Marquardt District 15.
Dr. Daly is a passionate advocate for inclusive education and student-centered leadership. She has led efforts to strengthen supports for diverse learners, develop social-emotional programming, and build strong partnerships with staff and families. Her leadership helped one of her former school communities earn a National Blue Ribbon Award for Excellence in 2018.

Sprague community,” said Dr. Daly. “Early childhood education is my passion, and I believe every child deserves a joyful, supportive, and engaging school experience. I look forward to working with our talented staff and dedicated families to help every student thrive.”
Superintendent Dr. Scott Warren shared, “Dr. Daly’s experience and values align beautifully with the mission of District 103. She is a strong instructional leader who fosters inclusive, nurturing school communities. We are excited to welcome her to the Sprague family.”
The Board of Education will take action on Dr. Daly’s hire during the Board Meeting tonight, June 3, 2025, starting at 7:00 PM.
