Dear Page Families,
The countdown to Winter Break continues with only 6 days. Here are the weekly updates.
1. MD Report Card - William Tyler Page ES - 4 Star Rating. On December 3, 2024, the Maryland State Department of Education released the 2024 accountability report card for all schools in the state of Maryland. Designed to measure the success of schools and identify areas for improvement, the report card was developed in response to the requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), a federal law that seeks to ensure public schools provide a quality education for all children. Here is the link to Page's Report Card Score and break down - William Tyler Page MD Report Card. Here are some resources to learn more:

2. PreKindergarten Is Going to a Whole New Level - Maryland Accreditation is a way for public
pre-k programs to demonstrate their commitment to providing high-quality learning. Our school is currently working towards this high level of instructional programming. This is a goal for W.T. Page ES and our dedication to the Blueprint for all Maryland Public Schools.
Montgomery County Public Schools has adopted the Maryland State Department of Education's Blueprint Law: Plan of Action. The Blueprint Law will fundamentally improve outcomes for students in MCPS as well as all public schools across the state of Maryland. The Blueprint brings an expansion of programs and initiatives that will expand access for all of our students, from Pre-K through Grade 12. Additionally, The Blueprint Law seeks to elevate “overall student performance to be among the world’s best and eliminates achievement and opportunity gaps between students from different family incomes, races, ethnicities, abilities and disabilities, and other defining characteristics.”
This is a collaborative effort with W.T. Page ES, Division of Early Childhood, and Maryland State Department of Education. We are proud of our excellent PreK programming and look forward to being validated at the highest standards in the state! -- If you have any questions or would like additional information, please email Susan_J_Ginsberg@mcpsmd.org. She is working with our school as our Accreditation Coach.
3. THANK YOU! - The International Heritage Night committee would like to draw your attention to the restaurants and businesses that donated food for the evening event in November. This winter as you’re out and about, please consider giving them your business and thank them for supporting Page Elementary!
