Dear Parents,

This nine weeks we have continued to work towards our year- end goals in Spanish. These goals include the following I can statements:

I can sing the days of the week.

I can sing the months of the year.

I can count from 1-20.

I can ask introduce myself in Spanish.

I can use Spanish greetings.

In addition, we have begun to learn the words for family members and pets. The student objective is to be able to do the following:

· Listen and show understanding of the family vocabulary by correctly identifying each member in a picture.

· Verbally identify each member of their own family.

At this point, the children have drawn their family in class. They have practiced naming each member of the household with me. In the next week, they will introduce their family to their classmates. I have attached flashcards to practice at home with the vocabulary.
