Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,
I hope you all have had a relaxing summer enjoying the nice weather and spending time with your families and friends. We are excited for your return and are looking forward to the 2022-2023 school year. Please carefully read the following information and contact me at mmahoney@gananda.org or 315-986-3521, extension 3154, if you have any questions. You can also contact your child’s counselor, Mrs. Kelleher for students whose last names begin with the letters A-K or Mrs. Crelley for students whose last names begin with the letters L-Z.
Schedule:
School hours are from 7:25 - 2:55, with the front doors opening at 7:15.
We will be returning to the Block Schedule we ran prior to changes that occurred due to Covid-19. The block schedule consists of four 83-minute blocks a day, with classes meeting every other day. Built into the schedule each day is a 37-minute Advisement period. During this time students can get breakfast, see available teachers, get additional academic support or use it as a time to complete work. There is also a 28-minute extra help period at the end of the day. The schedule will be new to many of our students, so staff will be spending time with them going over their schedules. Breakfast and Lunch:
Breakfast will be available during the Advisement period. Students need to report to Advisement first, listen to announcements, and then get breakfast.
Lunch will be served as usual.

WFL-BOCES: Wayne and Technical Career Center (WTCC) and New Vision students:
Start date for these programs is September 7, 2022.
Students can receive special permission from WTCC and the building principal on an one-day emergency pass basis to drive.
The WTCC and New Vision programs will be sending out additional information to students and families in these programs.

I hope to see you at our district wide Open House on the evening of September 1st from 6:00 - 8:00. All school buildings will be open for you and your student to tour. Students will be able to find their classroom, meet their teacher, pick up their school supplies (HS) and Chromebook (HS). Please be aware the classrooms will not be fully set up, but your child will be able to find the location of their rooms. There will also be free grab-and-go food selections available at each school from 6-8pm along with bottles of water. If you did not RSVP to attend then students will get their school supplies and Chromebooks the first day of school.
