Spring Musical 'The Wizard of Oz'
SCWest Players will present 'The Wizard of Oz' on May 3, 4, & 5. May 3rd and 4th performances are at 7:00pm, and Sunday's matinee performance will be at 2:00pm. General admission tickets are $15, student tickets are $10. Tickets can be purchase through MySchoolBucks using links below.

EOC's: End Of Course Testing
End of Course (EOC) exams will begin on Monday, April 29th and run for 3 weeks through Friday, May 17th. Attendance is highly important and we encourage all students to get a good nights sleep and to eat breakfast during this time.
April 29 - May 3: English 2
May 6 - May 10: Biology
May 13 - May 17: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Government
AP Exam Information
Students who have signed up to complete AP portfolios and/or take AP exams will be doing that May 6 through 17. Exam dates and times are set by College Board and students have all been given information specific to their exam/portfolio. Please know that several exams extend beyond the normal school day and students will be expected to stay until the completion of the exam period regardless of whether they have finished early (typically 3:30-3:45 PM). Some exams are traditional paper/pencil exams while others are completed digitally on student chromebooks. Please encourage students to get plenty of sleep, to eat something nutritious, and to bring all necessary supplies in preparation. Any content-specific questions can be directed to the student's teacher and logistical information can be directed to AP Coordinator Stacie Gates (sgates@stcharlessd.org).
Final Exam Testing Information
Final Exam testing is Wed., May 22, Thurs., May 23 and Fri., May 24. Friday May 24 is an Early Release day with dismissal at 11:20am. Student can check with their teachers whether or not they qualify for an exemption.

Senior Yard Sign Fundraiser for Senior Class
This year the Senior Class of St. Charles West is proud to offer a Class of 2024 yard sign for all graduating seniors. Procees will directly benefit both Honors Night and the Senior Class Gift. The yard sign will be personalized to include student's name and will include the stake to place in your yard, for $25.

Seniors - it's time to register for Grad Night (formerly known as Traditions).
All eligible seniors are invited to attend the St. Charles West Grad Night Party hosted by the SCW Boosters. Eligibility is based on successful completion of all St. Charles West High School graduation requirements, including attendance and participation in the graduation ceremonies. This year's event will take place at the Renaud Center, 2650 Tri Sports Cir, O'Fallon, MO 63368. Doors will open at 10pm and be locked at 10:30pm on June 1st. The event will end at 4:00am on June 2nd.
This event is FREE but you must register by Friday, May 10th. We need to order the correct amount of food and have a smooth check-in process! You will also need to have a parent/guardian consent form turned into the office by May 10th. Please see the link for information and to register.

Food Service Update

If your PowerSchool portal is not currently linked to your MySchoolBucks account, accurate lunch balance information will not be reflected. Directions to access and link MySchoolBucks with Power School can be found by clicking HERE.
Check Spam Folder for emails from FoodServiceStCharlessd.org@e-hps.com , this will include Negative Balance Letters, Student Status Updates, Reminders for annual documentation needed, and Senior Balance Information.
Chromebook Reminders
As a reminder, students should have their district issued Chromebook (or similar device) charged and ready for each school day. While the library does have a limited number of Chromebooks available in the event that a student has an issue with their Chromebook or forgot theirs at home, these Chromebooks are limited. Additionally, if a student checks out a Chromebook from the library, that Chromebook should be returned by the end of that school day. Chromebooks checked out from the library should not go home with students without prior approval from Ms. Gates

MAC Scholars Homework Academy
The MAC Scholars Academy will faciliate homework sessions for any students on Tuesday and Thursday after school from 2:30-4pm. Teacher and peer tutors will be available to assist students during this time in the Library.
Student Physicals to rSchool
ALL sports and activities during the 2023-2024 school year for St. Charles West need to have a sports physical on file through on your rSchoolAccount. Please visit https://stcharles-ar.rschooltoday.com/ to create an account or to update your already existing account.
-All student athletes, Esports, dance, cheer, and marching band will need to fill out paperwork and submit through RschoolToday.
-RschoolToday requires the MSHSAA Medical Eligibility Form to be uploaded. Doctors determine length of eligibility up to 2 years
-If you have registered during a previous school year, login to your current family account and complete registration for the 2023-2024 school year.
MSHSAA requires the new MSHSAA Medical Eligibility form (page 5 of attachment) to be completed in lieu of uploading a physical form with private, medical information on it. If you currently have a valid physical uploaded, this will be sufficient until it expires. Moving forward, ONLY the MSHSAA Medical Form will be accepted.

Students in the Building After School
Cell Phone/Electronic Device Policy
Per the SCSD Code of Conduct students at SCWest are not encouraged to bring cell phones or other electronic devices to school. Cell Phones may be used before school, after school, during passing periods and at lunch only. Students are subject to discipline consequences for unauthorized or inappropriate use of such devices in the classroom.
- Students should have phones and earbuds/headphones away during all teacher instruction time.

- Students should only use devices/electronic equipment (other than chromebooks) when given permission from the classroom teacher.
