DECEMBER STUDENTS OF THE MONTH
Congratulations to Prince Cezil and Myah Martin on being selected as the December Students of the Month!
Prince Cezil
Prince Cezil is currently in the ETMS Orchestra for a second year in a row. During Prince’s 7th grade year, he was on the Principal’s Honor Roll and participated on the boys basketball team. Prince also participated in the art club his 7th grade year and is an amazing artist. Outside of school, Prince plays soccer and sings in a choir. Prince also speaks 4 different languages and has lived in two different countries.
Myah Martin
Myah Martin is currently on the ETMS Swim team and was on the Principal’s Honor Roll this past Fall Semester. Outside of school, Myah participates in the Empire Swim Club, is a member of the Fusion Youth Group, plays soccer, and sings in a choir.

Bison Fan Day for Boys Basketball!
Bison Fan Day Update!
Bison Fan day has been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 22nd!
- Any eligible 6th, 7th, and 8th grade student is invited to stay after school (on Wednesday, January 22nd) to watch the Boys Basketball game.
- Please note that students will need to have a ride home at 5:45 pm.
- If you want your student to attend, please see the sign up link below. The sign up link will only be open until 1/22 at 11:00 am. However, if we reach a capacity number of participants, the form will not accept any more students to sign up.
Please note, if you are actively participating in another Winter sport (Basketball) or Activity that practices after school on 1/22, please do NOT sign up for Bison Fan Day. The expectation is that you fulfill your commitment to your athletic or activity practice. You may not join the Bison Fan day after your practice. If you want to attend the Boys Basketball game after your practice, same expectations are followed to be with an adult for the event.

Our new book of the month will be, The Wild Robot. Students interested in reading the Book of the Month should stop by the library to sign up and check out a copy.
All who participate will be invited to the Discussion with Donuts (including a gluten free option) with Mrs. Brown, the school librarian, and any other staff who participate.
Discussion with Donuts will be held Wednesday, January 29th during TRAIL Time.
RECOGNITIONS & CELEBRATIONS
Robotics - Student Led Grant
The Lee's Summit Educational Foundation presented the 6th Grade BisonBot Black team with $1,000 for a student led grant. Students participating in the writing: Tad Becho, Colby Harmon, Hayes Hevlow, Jaxon Hoffman, Lily Holm, James Lineberry, Gavin Myers, Leo Pagnani, Gavin Scalf, and Cade Schlottach. We are so excited for the BisonBots!
6th Grade BisonBot Black Team
ETMS Robotic Teams
Animal Club
Summit Zoo visited Animal Club this month and brought 3 bearded lizards. We learned about the diet and habitats of these creatures as well as some things about Summit Zoo, a local Lee's Summit business.
6th & 8th Grade "No Tardy Party"
The 7th grade celebration will be held this coming week.

Due to the complex schedules of our admin team, we are unable to accommodate walk-in appointments.
We value our partnership with caregivers about concerns, and we are happy to schedule in-person meetings or phone calls upon request.
We understand immediate concerns may arise, and we will do our best to accommodate families. However, urgent inquiries should be referred to Mrs. Ullman (816-986-2584), and she will assist families in contacting the appropriate staff member in a timely manner.
