We also have contractors in the building installing new bulletin boards in the halls. We are looking forward to the start of quarter 2 on Tuesday. Make sure you are ready to participate in the Red Ribbon Week Spirit Days that begin on Tuesday.

From StuCo
It's October — Time for monster movie nights! Come eat popcorn with your friends while watching a classic horror film.
We're showing Frankenstein for 7th grade after school on October 28 and Dracula for 8th grade after school on October 30. There's no charge for admission, but a parent permission slip is required to attend. Look for these slips during WIN this week.
Thanks for a great dodgeball tournament, MT! We raised $629.87 toward our goal of naming a service dog. We'll have more events through the year to help us reach our goal. And congratulations to our first-place tournament winners, Lejon Bames!
A big shout out to StuCo for a wonderful pep assembly and awesome dodgeball tournament!

If your student forgets to take medication before school or you bring medication for your student, you will be asked to stay and administer the medication to your student.
Illness
Please report any symptoms of illness to the school. Please be specific- report symptoms such as sore throat, nausea, fever instead of reporting “ill” or “sick”. Giving symptoms helps with Health Department reporting and to see illness trends in the district.
It is district policy to keep your student home until symptom free/fever free for 24 hours without medication. It will help to prevent the spread of illness.

“Just Give It” Annual Fundraiser
Exciting news! Mrs. King, Mrs. E, Mr. Walters, Mr. Watts, and Mr. Yancey have agreed to get “silly-stringed” if we reach our fundraising goal of $15,000! SO, we have extended the deadline to October 25! Currently, we have raised $10,572, with 38% of our families donating. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us get closer to our goal. It also gets your student an extra chance to do the silly-stringing!
If we raise $11,000 one teacher gets stringed.
Get to $12,000 – 2 teachers
Get to $13,000 – 3 teachers
Get to $14,000 – 4 teachers
