2day workshop Ecoprint on Leather

Bahar is the first one who has deepen the knowledge of ecoprint on leather. She achieves wonderful sharp prints and vibrant colours only with natural ingredients. In this workshop you will learn about the variety of the leathers which will be use for ecoprinting.

Day1

theory and showing preparation and information about leather variety. Showing samples to feel and the difference. Demonstration how to mordant leather, laying out the flowers/leaves using natural dyes on leather and spending time on designs, bundling and boiling. .

Day 2

How to combine natural dyes with ecoprint on leather. Information about care, maintenance, sealants, softening the leather.

During both days students will make their own bundles

about Bahar Bozaci

Bahar Bozaci is an ecoprinter, textile artist, lover of plants and animals. She has studied at Fine Art University on textile design. After she realized that the textile industry mostly use harmful chemical dyes, she decided to work and learn by herself about the eco-printing technique on different kind of textiles and materials. One of her specialities is ecoprint on leather. She loves to work with flowers and leaves. Her aim is very bright colours and beautiful clear results. Her book 'The Song of Nature ' about ecoprint and natural dyes is available as pdf format and also hardcover.
