Attention rising 6th grade students!
We are excited to invite you to our Specialty Program Open House on Tuesday, November 12th, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the unique offerings at Blair Middle School!
Important - please return
Your child was given a federal survey form that must be completed and signed by a parent or guardian. This important document allows Norfolk Public Schools to qualify for federal funding to support public education. Please take a few moments to complete the form and have your child return it to their block 8 teacher. All your information will be kept confidential. Thank you for your cooperation and have a wonderful evening. Students that return the card the next class period, will receive Blair Bucks.
Big News - Online Book Fair - Starts this week!
Blair is hosting an online book fair Nov. 4th-22nd. Visit book-efairs.follettcontent.com and use ZG96Y to shop. Students get a free drawstring bag with purchase while supplies last. Please support our school! Student’s will need to type their name and choose their English teacher when they are ready to order. The books will be delivered to Blair before Winter Break.
November - Month of the Military Family
We would like to honor the brave men and women who have served our country by displaying their photos in our main office throughout the month of November. If you or a loved one has served in the military, we invite you to send a photo that we can proudly include in our Veterans Day tribute.
Please email your photos to Ms. Revell (mailto:arevell@nps.k12.va.us). We are grateful for the sacrifices made by our veterans and look forward to recognizing their service in this special way.

Celebrating more student excellence!
We are thrilled to celebrate Mr. Redmond’s Bell 1/2 Pre-Algebra 8 class, which scored an incredible 100% proficiency on their latest unit assessment! This remarkable achievement marks an impressive 85-point increase from their last unit test. Their hard work, focus, and determination truly paid off—and they celebrated in style with a well-deserved pizza party! 🍕
Way to go, Bell 1/2! Keep up the amazing work!
Picture Information
Students who were not photographed during the September date will take priority before any requests can be met. With that said, there will be a second picture day in February.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the yearbook coordinator, Ms. Tubbs (ctubbs@nps.k12.va.us).
📣 Join Us for Our PTA Meeting! 📣
Families, we invite you to our next PTA meeting on November 12th at 7:00 PM. Your support is critical to helping us provide the best possible experience for our students. Together, we’ll discuss upcoming events, important school initiatives, and ways to make a lasting impact in our community.
When families and teachers collaborate, our students thrive—and we can’t do it without you! Don’t miss this chance to get involved and make a difference. We look forward to seeing you there!
At Blair Middle School, we recognize students who exemplify those character traits our school reinforces through PBIS - Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. Different students are nominated each week and those that are selected from each grade level receive a certificate and goodie bag with various items that the students would enjoy. The items on this list will help Blair provide incentives for good behavior.
