Leyden launches new system to help students plan
Leyden launches a new college and career readiness tool to help students and parents develop a personalized plan for the future, during and after high school.
Future Focus Week is coming September 23 - 27
Future Focus week is a series of events that Leyden created as a way to highlight many of the options available to students after high school. The week of September 23 will be “future focused” on the skilled trades. Students will have the opportunity to sit in on panel discussions about barbering and cosmetology, plumbing, nursing, and advanced manufacturing.
Choosing a career or skilled trade as a postsecondary plan offers practical advantages in today's job market. Vocational education and apprenticeships provide hands-on experiences, developing real-world skills that lead to quicker entry into the workforce. This approach not only enhances employability but also fosters a sense of accomplishment as individuals contribute directly to building and maintaining essential aspects of society. Opting for a career or skilled trade provides a quicker path to personal growth, financial stability, and community impact.
