MR. OSBORN DIED IN 2008. HE WAS AN ACCOMPLISHED PIANIST, A TRUMPET PLAYER, A PUBLIC SCHOOL BAND DIRECTOR, AND A DEDICATED AND VALUED MEMBER OF THE BIRDVILLE I. S. D. FINE ARTS STAFF.

IT WAS MR. OSBORN’S LOVE OF THE FINE ARTS THAT PROMPTED HIM TO INCLUDE IN HIS LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT FUNDING FOR THIS AND FUTURE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE FINE ARTS STUDENTS IN THE BIRDVILLE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT.

I made the President’s List for 2 semesters

I received a UNT clarinet scholarship for all 4 years and was President of the UNT Music Educators association group for 1 year.

I was the first in my family to graduate from college and I graduated Magna Cum Laude in May 2014

I received a job offer 1 month after graduation and have been a General Music Teacher in FWISD at South Hi Mount Elementary for 6 years.

Have been site supervisor for my school’s after school program for 3 years.

Attended Texas Tech University

I received a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Music Education.

During my time in Lubbock, I was a member of each of the University’s choir ensembles over the course of my 5 years and an active member of Chi Omega Sorority.

Outside of my studies, I worked with many middle and high school choir directors in the local public schools, learning how to be the professional and music educator I am today!

In 2016 after I completed graduate school, my husband and I moved to Chicago, IL to begin a new chapter. I began working as elementary music teacher for the next 3 years, where I directed a concert for each grade level each year, conducted a 4th and 5th Grade Choir, as well as started up a 5th Grade Ukulele Ensemble.

Now in 2020, I am the music teacher and choir director at a middle school in the Chicagoland area, where I also have the opportunity to co-direct our school’s musical. I am very thankful for Haltom High and the many educators that invested in me and my passion, in order to help me get to where I am in my career today!

Attended Texas Woman’s University (Denton Campus)

I made the Dean’s List for 3 semesters and Chancellor's list for 2 semesters.

I was the Vice President of New Members Education for Sigma Sigma Sigma for 1 year, National Panhellenic Conference Delegate for 1 year, and I was the Treasurer and Safety Officer for Pioneer Soccer Club for 4 years. Additionally, I was inducted into the Greek Honor Society - Order of Omega.

I was the first in my family to graduate from college.

I graduated May 2018 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Child Development.

I received a job offer right after graduating and have been a private care provider for children with behavioral issues since graduation.

I was accepted into Texas Woman’s University - Graduate School in June 2018 and received a TWU Alumni Association scholarship as well as being inducted into Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

I am currently working towards my master’s degree in Child Life and taking the board certification to become a Certified Child Life Specialist.

Attended Marymount Manhattan College, New York City

I studied in Musical Theatre at Marymount for one year.

Soon after moving to New York City, I was a part of an Off-Broadway musical Workshop and got to perform at some of the top Cabaret Venues like 54 Below and Joe’s Pub.

I had had multiple opportunities to perform at New York’s Fashion Week with Broadway Sings For Pride, a not for profit charity promoting LGBTQ+ equality.

Currently, I am working in high fashion Jewelry as part of the custom design team. Aside from that, I am working on various writing projects and using my voice to encourage and strengthen the LGBTQ+ community.

Attended the University of Texas at Austin where I majored in Music Education.

I was a clarinet section leader in the Longhorn Band and an officer in multiple organizations and fraternities at the Butler School of Music. I studied clarinet with Professor Jonathan Gunn, and performed in several concerts with the University of Texas Wind Ensemble under the direction of Professor Jerry Junkin.

During my time at The University of Texas, I was a recipient of the Polome Performance Scholarship, a finalist for the Kappa Kappa Psi Solo Competition, a Peer Mentor for The University Leadership Network, a recipient of the TMEA Student Teaching Scholarship, and a Michael and Susan Dell Foundation Scholar. In 2016, I received a Mu Phi Epsilon foundation award for 100+ hours of service to the community.

I am currently in my first year of teaching at Pflugerville Middle School. This first year has been a fantastic and rewarding learning experience: my band received a Sweepstakes award at UIL, I received the "rookie teacher of the year" award at Pflugerville Middle, and I was awarded a first-year teaching grant by Texas Cultural Trust.

Attended Baylor University

I was accepted into the BFA program for theatre performance

I was a Member of Chi Omega- Theta Kappa Chapter. I made the Dean's List and graduated in 3.5 years. I was the first in my family to graduate from college

I worked as a background actor on multiple sets in Los Angeles and Austin, TX including the following television series and film- You, The Rookie, Black-ish, Doll face, We Can Be Heroes

I signed with Acclaim Talent in Austin, TX and worked on an industrial commercial for TABC in Austin, TX

Currently in my last semester at the University of Houston, will graduate with academic honors

I performed in two operas and stage managed another during my time here.

I debuted numbers from a brand new children’s opera at the downtown Houston Steinway store for Steinway executives.

I traveled with my choir to Debrecen, Hungary and won the Bela Bartok International Choir Competition, which qualified us to travel to Arezzo, Italy to compete in the European Grand Prix of choirs last summer.

I was soprano section leader.

I received the TAMS Clara F. Nelson Grant Scholarship every semester for my last 6 semesters and I received the Hirsch Scholarship Endowment from the Moores School of Music all four years.

Student teaching has been amazing. I’m looking forward to graduation and am applying to secondary schools in both the Dallas/Fort Worth area and Houston. I’m hopeful to find a choir director position to start this fall!

Attended TCC and graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in Music.

I am currently attending TWU in pursuit of a Music Therapy degree.

I received a Music Therapy and Transfer scholarship and was a soloist at TMEA.

I made the Chancellor’s List at TWU and continue to hold a 4.0 GPA.

Graduated from Texas Christian University as a Musical Theatre Major

I finished up my first professional show at Circle Theatre, playing Tobias in “Sweeney Todd”, and entered my second year of college. So far, I have had the opportunity to play TJ in “Sister Act”, TA “Musical Theatre Lab for Non-Majors” with Alan Shorter, and work in a leadership position in my schools lighting department. Academically, I finished my Fall 2019 semester with a 4.0 and a recommendation to compete in a speech event hosted by TCU’s English Department.

Though this semester is ending rather suddenly with on-campus opportunities, I continue to work on my craft through online classes and look forward to opportunities to come in following semesters at TCU.

Attending The University of Texas at Arlington

I am heavily involved with the Music Department and received a music scholarship for 4 years.

I have became a part of the top choir at the University, Acapella Choir under the direction of Dr. Karen Kenaston French. The Acapella choir was invited to perform at the National Collegiate Choral Organization in Maryland.

I made it past the preliminary round of auditions at the NATS competition at UNT

In Fall of 2020, I will be working towards becoming a member of the music fraternity SAI.

Evan will graduate in May and go on to West Texas A&M to join their prestigious Theatre program. Evan went to North Oaks Middle School, spent two years at Birdville High School, and has been a Haltom High School Production Class student for the last two years. Some of Evan's performance credits include Gypsy, The Explorer's Club, Mamma Mia, Matilda, Much Ado about Mean Girls, and A Lie of the Mind. Evan is a Haltom Herder and is ranked 47 in his class.

Attending Illinois State University as a Theatre Education and Acting double major.

Through my first year at college, I’ve begun to learn and practice the fundamentals necessary to be an effective teacher, in addition to learning how to use theatre as a platform to allow students to grow and prosper. I’ve attended a few schools in the Bloomington-Normal area for clinical work and participated in an all-day observation of Little Village High School’s theatre program located in the south-side Chicago area.

I’m heavily involved in ISU’s School of Theatre and Dance. As a freshman, I was cast in our spring production of Rhinoceros as “Cafe Proprietor”. I’m currently cast in our upcoming fall production of Mother Courage and Her Children as “Eilif”. I’m also in the THE 440 Acting company, assisting graduate directing majors with their projects. I am also involved on the tech side, having assisted the Sound Team for multiple shows and worked as the sound board operator for our spring production of Mary Stuart, and helped build set pieces for a variety of shows through my Stagecraft labs during the spring semester.

I ended my spring semester with a 4.0 GPA and an overall GPA of 3.8, and made the Dean’s List. I also received a departmental award from the SOTD recognizing stand-out freshman in the program.

Recently graduated from Haltom with a 3.9 GPA and newly attending University of Texas at Arlington as a BFA Acting Major. A member of the international thespian society and recent VP of the theatre leadership team. A member of the varsity Haltom Singers show choir. Performance credits include Gypsy, Mamma Mia, Boyle Heights, Cinderella, and Shakespeare Abridged. As well as student director of Matilda and Carrie the Musical. I am working towards the completion of my college education in fine arts and performance.
