Marlette Elementary School

Hi everyone,

We are in the last week of the last month of school for the 2023-24 school year. As I finish my first year as Marlette Elementary's principal, I want to write and say thank you. I want to thank all of the students who tried their best academically and emotionally throughout the year. I want to thank all of the parents and guardians who supported their child during the good times and difficult times. I want to thank all other stakeholders (grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, pets, volunteers, etc.) who also cared for our students day in and day out. Finally, I want to thank the Marlette PTO who contributed to our staff with multiple endeavors and benefits throughout the school year. I have learned a great deal and as one school year ends, we are already working towards the next. The first day of the 2024-25 school year is Monday, August 26th, 2024.

We are still enrolling children 3 to 6 years old for Pre-school and Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year. You can pick up pre-school applications and Kindergarten enrollment packets at the Marlette Elementary main office from 8am to 4:30pm on school days. Our pre-school and GSRP are filling fast with few spots remaining. If you have any questions, please contact the elementary school office at (989) 635-7427.

Mrs. Redman and the Marlette Elementary Office will be open Monday through Friday until June 25th. Hours will be from 8am to 3pm.

The office will reopen in August on August 7th. Days will be Monday through Friday from 8am to 3pm.

Teacher assignments for the 2024-25 school year will be released no later than Wednesday, August 14th (one week before Open House) by mail or on Skyward.

Due to a presenter illness, the Tuscola ISD has opened up registration again for a Virtual Internet Safety Training for Parents. If interested, please scan the QR Code to register.

David Distelrath, a doctorate student with the University of Paris and former Marlette Community Schools student, is doing a study of Thumb residents and how they meet their household needs and the unique challenges they faced. Notes will be going home on Thursday if this is something you may be interested in participating to help his study.
