The DBQ Project

Inquiry-based learning not only piques students’ curiosity and engagement, it also leads to deeper learning. In this interactive session, participants engage in an inquiry-based lesson featuring materials developed by the DBQ Project. Starting with a compelling question, participants go through the inquiry process of interrogating evidence, formulating conclusions, and marshaling evidence to support those conclusions. Attendees will leave the session with a greater understanding of the pedagogy required to reach all ability levels, and how to support students in the development of these critical skills.

The online training was engaging and well received by teachers during this time of distance learning. There was a great balance between theory and hands-on practice, and the technology pieces were clearly and professionally explained.
