Principal's Message
At Westwood Elementary School, we are Respectful 🤝, Responsible 👍, and Safe 👷
This week, have a conversation with your student about how to be Respectful 🤝, Responsible 👍, and Safe 👷 in the school cafeteria.
Some examples:
- I can be respectful by using a normal talking voice while at my table
- I can be responsible by cleaning up all of my trash after eating
- I can be safe by walking at all times
These are just a couple of examples, but the conversations that you have can go so much further!
Thank you for having conversations with your student about what it means to be RESPECTFUL 🤝, RESPONSIBLE 👍, and SAFE 👷. Together, we can partner to help to develop our students to be successful citizens in the world.

Picking Up and Dropping Off Students
As a safety reminder, when picking up or dropping off your student, please use our drop-off loop (the staff parking lot is not for student drop-off) and pull as far forward as possible when in line with your vehicle. This supports a smooth drop-off and pick-up process.
🚗 Parents should stay in their vehicles and pull up to the student drop-off zone during this time. Please do not leave a vehicle unattended in the drop-off loop at any time. If you need help, wave down a staff member and we will be happy to assist you. Thank you for doing your part to keep our students safe.
Additionally, please be sure that your students have the proper car seats, booster seats, or seatbelts as required by California State Law. Let us know if you need help or resources to keep your student safe. 💺✅
