Dear Oakwood Community,

Last Wednesday I had the honor of attending the Inaugural State of Education, hosted by the San Joaquin County Office of Education. District and school leaders, board and city council members, and local business owners gathered from across the county to discuss the exciting strides being made in our region—particularly in the areas of mental health, early literacy, and career technical education. It was a truly inspiring event, and I’m proud to say Oakwood was able to shine in this larger conversation.

What made this event especially meaningful was the opportunity to highlight the incredible work happening right here at Oakwood. We were able to give voice to our amazing teachers, celebrate the innovative efforts happening in our classrooms, and reflect on the positive, life-changing impact we are having on our students, together as a community.

I encourage you to watch the video and read the article below, showing casing four school (Oakwood being one) within San Joaquin County, that are having major positive impacts within their communities. Please take a moment to celebrate the wonderful things happening here at Oakwood with us—both for our students and as a school community.

Any adults and/or non-Oakwood students will need to show identification anytime you come on campus, for any reason. Our office staff uses the ID to scan into our system to produce a badge that must be worn while on campus.
