Leadership Message
Officially introducing our Shepherd on the Search!
This week I had the joy of visiting all the classes so they could vote on their favourite name for our St. Luke Shepherd. Thanks to our Kindergarten class who submitted names, students voted by placing stickers on the name they wanted to give to our Shepherd! We are delighted to introduce you to Bobby-Jo, St. Luke's Shepherd! Children are having fun finding him each day as he makes his way to the manger in search of Jesus.
Games Club Servant Leader!
I am grateful to connect and play games with students every Wednesday and this week's featured game was Tic Tac Toe X 4. It is a fast physical game with four people playing Tic Tac Toe at the same time - very intense! All the kids have a great time in Games club. A special shout out goes out to one student from the 5&6 class who stayed back to help me organize the games without being asked! Thank you for your leadership and help!
Little Helper in the Kitchen
We continue to be very grateful for all that Mrs. Williamson prepares for students each morning so they begin each of learning with food in bellies. It's exciting to see a new helper in the kitchen starting to take on some the food prep! Thank you so much for your help!
Have an amazing weekend and week!
With so much gratitude,
Mme Gravelle

Celebrating Advent Mass @ OLPH Church
It was an exciting day for our St. Luke Choir as they led Music Ministry at the church. They were phenomenal! Congratulations! Thank you Mrs. Marple for all your leadership!
It was a big day for our PreKs who went on their very first bus ride with the big kids to church! And thank you to our grade 7 & 8 students who were fantastic leaders, taking excellent care of the PreKs.
It was a blessing to celebrate mass as a family! We couldn't be more proud of this community!
Do my eyes deceive me? Are staff wearing PJ Pants?
Why yes they are!
For the last two weeks of December, staff have pledged to support Lurana House by breaking the rules a little. They are allowed to wear jeans for a price...sweat pants or PJ pants....for a different price!! If they are wearing these pieces of clothing, this is their testament they have donated to Catholic Social Services Lurana House!
Bravo team for your charity and spreading love this Advent season!

Kindergarten and Grade 4 Crafting for Hope Mission
🎄Our grade 4's and their little buddies spent this week creating beautiful centerpieces to bring some cheer to Hope Mission this holiday season 🎄
Do you want to play BASKETBALL?!?! 🏀🏀🏀
Board Games Club
The students are loving the games club and this week's feature game was Competitive Tic Tac Toe with Solo cups. The kids loved it! (and were a little sweaty after!)
Cold Weather is Here!
Please ensure your child is coming to school with the necessary clothing to play outside. We are outside for the full recess times (20 minutes as morning recess and 25 minutes at lunch) to -25 degrees calcium or Windchill. Fresh air is vital for children's wellness, especially in the winter months!
Teachers will be communicating with you if your child is choosing to head outside improperly dressed so that we can work together to keep everyone safe.
If it is a challenge acquiring winter gear, please reach out to your child's teacher or the office and we are happy to help ensure children enjoy the full benefits of outdoor free play!
Indoor and Outdoor Shoes
Indoor & Outdoor Shoes
Thank you for ensuring that all children have both indoor and outdoor shoes.
As we move into the colder weather, children need more insulation to keep their toes warm when outside, and less when they are inside. Plus, taking off outdoor shoes helps to keep the school clean and the floors dry for safety.
After the November break we will begin to enforce the expectation for all students to have indoor and outdoor shoes. Thank you for you help with this.
Laughing Together is Healthy!
Why does a dog wag it’s tail??

Become a Supervisor for a day!
Please mark your calendars! On January 14, we are calling parents to help supervise during outdoor recess and indoor lunch eating time to provide staff with time to break bread together during the St. Luke Catholic School student full day Faith and Wellness Retreat with Face to Face Ministries!
We are inviting parents to supervise students during lunch. We have a little something to offer as a thanks for your help. Please stay tuned in January for sign up details, and thank you in advance for your help!
But please SAVE THE DATE!
St. Luke's Giving Tree

If you'd like to donate other items, you are more than welcome! Please see the list below for the items each class is called to bring for donations.
Thank you in advance for your donations of love for those less fortunate.
