6th Grade Outdoor School Information
Parent Information Meeting
Mr. Tom Hoegeman, the CVUSD Outdoor School Coordinator, will be hosting an informational meeting for all parents in the LCMS GYM regarding Outdoor School on Wednesday, November 20th at 6:00 pm.
The presentation will cover essential details, including:
- Daily schedules and activities
- Cabin arrangements and meals
- Health and safety protocols
- What to pack and how to prepare
This is a great opportunity to ask questions and get all the information you need to ensure your child is ready for this adventure! We look forward to seeing you there. Here is a link to the Outdoor School Website if you wanted to preview the program and see an interactive tour of the camp.
Important E-Bike Rider Information
New! Important information that apply to students riding electric bikes to school.
E-Bike laws in Ventura County include:
Age restrictions
Riders must be at least 16 years old to operate a Class 3 e-bike. There are no age restrictions for Class 1 and 2 e-bikes.
Helmet requirements
All riders under 18 must wear a helmet on any type of bike, motorized or not.
Speed limits
E-bike riders must obey posted speed limits.
Passing
Motorists must give electric bicycles at least three feet of clearance when passing.
Traffic laws
E-bike riders must follow local traffic laws.
