Principal Message - Kanika A. Burks
Good Evening MCP: Lola Rowe North Families,
THANK YOU to all of the families who donated to the Team MCP: LRN FOR A CURE in honor of Ms. Becky Wade! We exceeded our $1000 Goal for breast cancer research. It is still PINK-TOBER and now it is time to support The Sisters Network, a national organization that supports African-American Breast Cancer Survivors. The Southeast Wisconsin chapter supports local breast cancer survivors. Scholars and Staff who want to participate in PINK-TOBER can donate $2.00 to wear PINK & JEANS on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 (see the flyer above).
Did you know we have scholar-entrepreneurs in our network? Five, fierce, fabulous females seized the opportunity and applied to participate in Season 8 of Project Pitch It. - All scholars must have their shadow day documentation submitted and signed at least 24 hours before the day of their desired/requested visit.
- Ms. Felder, Ms. Burks and/or the Office Admin Team must be informed of the high school shadow, if there is not a specific form from the high school to be completed, at least 24 hours before a visit to ensure accurate documentation of their high school visit and appropriate attendance coding.
- Scholars will be marked absent (for the hours of school missed) if Ms. Felder, Ms. Burks and/or the Office Admin Team are notified AFTER the high school visit took place.
- Forms will not be signed on the day of a desired high school visit.
If the high school shadow timeframe is in the morning, scholars should report to MCP:LRN immediately following their visit. If the high school shadow timeframe is in the afternoon, scholars should report to MCP: LRN in the morning and then go to their high school visit.
