A rich, balanced curriculum
We have a number of extra-curricular activities ahead this term, including sports, performing arts and unique trips such as Year 6 camp, all of which continue to play an integral part in our children’s learning experiences at MENPS.
While we’re fortunate to have a long history of outstanding academic results for our students, we also believe that maintaining a balanced approach is one of the key reasons we are able to achieve this.
This may seem almost counter-intuitive, but - in addition to delivering a comprehensive, responsive curriculum, equipping children with the ‘soft skills’ they need is key to ensuring they develop as happy, confident, adaptable, empathetic learners who are able to fulfil their potential over time.
In particular, encouraging children to take risks in their learning, give things a go and be comfortable with making mistakes along the way makes a tangible difference, which is why we aim to provide a broad range of opportunities and experiences for all our learners.
Principal Day Thanks
In my role, I am never under any illusion that success depends on a collective rather than individual effort, and so it's a reminder of how fortunate I am to work with such a supportive, thoughtful, talented group of people here at MENPS!
