7th Grade Family Barbeque: September 23, Click here to volunteer
Cross Country tryouts will be held on Friday, September 15th, at 3:15 p.m. The first practice will be on Monday, 9/18. Practices will be on Mondays and Wednesdays thereafter. The first meet of the season is on Wednesday, 9/20. There will not be practice on meet days.

This week students planned their own experiments on iodine diffusion. They then collected and analyzed their data. Tomorrow they will present their experiments and posters to the class.

Next week we will use compound microscopes Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. On Thursday and Friday students are required by DCPS headquarters to take the MAP science assessment.

Extra copies of my assignments can be found on Aspen or in the purple box. I do not upload assignments onto Canvas. However, you are able to find all of a unit's vocabulary words there if needed.

This week students completed RI testing and reviewed the steps of the hero’s journey in preparation for our first novel The Ear, The Eye, and The Arm. Next week, we will start reading the book in class and learn about the author’s use of figurative language as well.

Math 7 and Math 8 with Mr Walton - (he/him) - Room RG01 - Email: sean.walton@k12.dc.gov

Math 7 is jumping into Scale Factor (Lessons 1-3) as it relates to their knowledge of ratios from last year.

Math 8 students are diving more into Transformation of polygons and comparing their attributes (Lessons 10-12).

No homework was given 9/11 to 9/15 due to testing but will resume this week.
