Your Presence is Key
"And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God..."
-Luke 2:13
Why Your Presence is Key
When I think of the angels that make up the body of the Heavenly host, I cannot help but think of the hospitality that overwhelms their very creation. It brings me to tears just thinking of the sweet spirit that poured from their presence the night their Savior was born.
And here we are today as a community of the Treasure Valley with the same message of the angels, "Glory to God in the highest!" And we, as the Heavenly Host, have the privilege to unite together in worship of the King of kings.
This is the heart of the First Impressions Team as we enter into this Christmas season. We get to unite in worship by letting each guest know that the King has Come!
What a divine opportunity to demonstrate hospitality to the very soul the King came to seek and to save! How sweet of God to fill us with the resources of a smile and of friendliness that enables connection between one more heart to God.
What You Will Glean
Other than the dinner that will be provided, you will walk away full of encouragement, information, and preparation!
Rest assure, this is not a FIT Orientation. Tonight is about our Team; It's about Jesus and the connection He threads between our heart of worship and the valley in which we proclaim His Name.
As you may or may not know, there has been a shift from Josh Austin to Mary Reich as Ministry Leader of the First Impression's Team. She is eager to kick-start this new season with you as your Servant Leader. Come hear her heart for you, this ministry, our church body, and for our Lord.
During this evening, you will receive updates on what is happening within this ministry regarding role responsibilities and positions available (old and new) in which to serve.
We will also discuss the various needs our Team can fill throughout the Christmas season!
Lastly, there will be an official "Ribbon Cutting" ceremony over our new Volunteer Central!! If you have not seen or utilized our FIT headquarters, I highly encourage you to pop in and take a look around!
With all that said, allow me to conclude with these final words...
Please come. Your presence on our Team is an encouragement to our church leadership and to one another. We cannot do what needs to be done without each and every one of us. I look forward to seeing us all encouraged by one another's presence at this special social event!
"Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!"
