Falcon Flyer for Families!
August 26, 2024
Hello families!
We have made it to the last week of August and are looking forward to a nice Labor Day weekend! But first, we have MAP testing to complete first!
This week, MAP testing will be on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Please make sure that your student has a good night's sleep, eat's breakfast, and arrives on time so that he/she is ready to do his best. In addition, please give your student word's of encouragement and discuss the importance of taking time on each question. Our teachers and administrators will be telling them the same prior to the start. We have an incentive this testing round to try and encourage students, as well! We look foward to seeing the results of the scores in the following weeks, and teachers will be working with students to set Winter goals!
Remember, this week is a short week with Friday as a half-day. Students will dismiss at 11:45, and teachers will engage in professional developement regarding MAP tests and goal-setting. On Friday, students may "dress down" if they do not have any referrals! Dress down guidelines are:
- Shirts and tops must be school-appropriate and not revealing. Hoodies should not be worn.
Jeans are allowed during dress down days. Jeans may be any color or pattern but must not have holes or tears in them of any kind. Leggings and or spandex bicycle shorts may not be worn
Dress down clothing cannot have inappropriate writing on it, musst fit appropriately, and must not interrupt the safety of the learning environment.
We wish you a great week!
