🧮 GOHS Math Club, Mu Alpha Theta, Shines on the World Stage!
Exciting news! The results are in for the Rocket City Math League, and the GOHS Math Club has achieved an incredible milestone. Out of 147 teams from around the globe, our Wolfpack placed 2nd! This marks the club's best performance ever in this prestigious competition.
The Rocket City Math League is a free, international, math contest that is open to all middle, high school, and two-year college students enrolled in pre-algebra through precalculus and above math courses.
A huge congratulations to our talented mathletes and their advisor, Mr. Steve Maxey, for this outstanding accomplishment!
🎓 College Kickoff 2024: Inspiring Futures Across TVUSD!
TVUSD joined schools across Riverside County in celebrating College Kickoff, a dynamic initiative focused on college and career readiness. From FAFSA workshops and fun giveaways to career exploration and guest speakers, TVUSD middle and high schools embraced creative and engaging activities to prepare students for their post-secondary goals. College Kickoff is part of the Riverside County Office of Education pledge to ensure every student graduates ready for college, the workforce, and civic responsibility. Watch how TVUSD students, educators, and the community came together to explore possibilities and take actionable steps toward their future success!

The TVUSD Community High Five Program is designed to empower and encourage the community to acknowledge and appreciate the dedicated employees of the district. This program serves as a platform for parents, students, and local residents, to recognize and celebrate the relentless commitment and hard work put forth by district employees.
Fill out this quick form, and the Communications Department will create and send a digital certificate to the employee for their hard work. As an added recognition, one employee will be selected each month as a "Community High Five Spotlight," and their shout-out will be recognized in a future edition of the Community Connection.
💻 TVUSD Survey of Students: Spring 2025 Survey
Student Survey Administration
Between February 10th and 28th, students at all TVUSD schools in grades 3-12 will be asked to complete a survey measuring student self-efficacy, self-management, and emotion regulation, as well as their perceptions of school climate, safety, and sense of belonging.
Parent Preview:
Per Board Policy and Administrative Regulation 5022: Student and Family Privacy Rights, parents have the right to preview survey content and opt their student(s) out of survey participation. Survey questions are created with students in mind, and use grade level appropriate language. Links to preview student surveys can be found by clicking the button below. Parents can also opt out of the survey by clicking on the link found in the survey newsletter. The deadline to opt out is Sunday, January 12th.
📣 2025/2026 Intradistrict Transfer Open Enrollment Window Closes on 1/31/2025
The Intradistrict Transfer Open Enrollment Window for the upcoming 2025/2026 school year, including Summit Academy, opened on Monday, October 14, 2024.
Transfer requests can be completed and submitted via the District’s website (https://www.tvusd.k12.ca.us/transfers).
Important Details
Submission Deadline: The window opened on Monday, October 14, 2024, and will remain open until January 31, 2025.
Continuing Transfers: If your child is already on an approved transfer and will continue to attend the same school during the 2025/2026 school year, there's no need to submit a new transfer request. New requests are only required if you wish to change schools.
New Transfers: If you would like your child to attend a school other than your school of residence based on your current address, please be sure to submit a transfer request during the Open Enrollment Transfer Window.
Transitioning to Middle and/or High School: The transition from elementary to middle school and/or from middle school to high school is not based on a previous/current school of attendance; it is solely based on primary residence address. If you plan on having your child attend a middle school or high school other than your school of residence, be sure to submit a transfer request prior to January 31, 2025.
New to/or not currently attending a TVUSD School: You may submit a transfer request during the Open Enrollment Window for the 2025/2026 school year, even if your child is not currently enrolled in a TVUSD school.
Equal Consideration: All timely submissions received during the Open Enrollment Transfer Window will be given equal consideration. Consideration will be based on space availability at the requested school and meeting the District’s transfer eligibility criteria.
