Student Departures
Families of current Kindy to Year 5 students who are not returning to St Denis in 2025 are requested to please email the Administration Office by Friday 30th August 2024. This information assists with class planning and resourcing.
Staff Update
Mrs Natalie Bullen has advised the school that she will be officially resigned from her position at St Denis, as of 31 December 2024. Over the years, Nat has played an invaluable role in the development of our school and has displayed unwavering dedication and devotion to both the students and the wider school community. Nat will be farewelled at the school AGM in Term 4.
On behalf of everyone at St Denis, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Nat for her dedication and wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
Speak Up Awards
On Wednesday of Week 5, three of our talented public speakers represented St Denis’ at the annual Speak Up Awards. The students all spoke clearly and confidently on their chosen topics and watched some incredible speakers from around the state. They did an outstanding job preparing and should be extremely proud of their efforts. Congratulations Zavier, Indie, and Sofia!
Catholic Education Performing Arts Festival
As another year of the Catholic Education Performing Arts ends, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff who coordinated our wonderful St Denis students in these events. A big thanks must go to Mrs Cathy Cotton who not only ensured our two Choirs were very well prepared and sung beautifully, but also for organising those students that were involved in individual performances at the festival, highlighting their amazing talents. Thank you, Cathy!
Mrs Emily Watkins for choreographing and instructing our Dance Teams. Emily has spent countless hours preparing this team. You can certainly see it is a passion for her. Thanks to Miss Thalia Munyard who attended each practise session to support with management and assist Emily.
Thank you to staff and parents for your ongoing support and to those who could make any of the events to support our students.
St Denis Athletics Carnival:
We are all looking forward to the St Denis Athletics Carnival for students from Pre-Primary – Year 6 on Friday 20 September.
